Summary
Agent 47 knows what he is—an assassin, a weapon meant to be wielded, nothing more and nothing less—he had standards though and only those worthy to use him actually could. So why then after discovering the existence of a young girl designed to be just like him had he thrown everything he had earned in his renowned career away. With no safehouses, or allies, he will learn more about himself than he ever dared to.
A selfish and bitter 47 estranged from Diana is forced to work with Birdie to uncover the conspiracy of project Vika. Victoria is never kidnapped, and is shepherded by 47 instead. But the elephant in the room—Diana's death, her murder—will be the foundation of their relationship.
Diverges from canon starting from 'Rosewood'.

“No. I came up with an excuse on the fly. Not a very good one, I might add.” There, Nanami pauses. His throat constricts. “I told my boss I was meeting my fiancé’s family.”
“Nanamin,” Gojo breathes out, sounding theatrically shocked. “You are getting married and you never even told me you had a significant other?”
“I am not getting married,” Nanami snaps. “I don’t have a significant other. I lied to my boss, Gojo, and he called me out on it. I have a short reprieve because he’s going away for the weekend, but on Monday, he wants details on my meeting with my fiancé’s parents. He wants photos. He wants to know everything about a fiancé that doesn’t exist.”
“Oh.” The word pops out from pursed lips that form a perfect ‘o’. “Oh, Nanamin. You want me to play along, is that it?”
In a bid to avoid an after-work party, Nanami lies to his boss that he's meeting with his fiancé's family. Desperate to lead credence to his lie, he asks the only person he trusts for help: Gojo.
Shenanigans ensue, and old feelings resurface as the two of them get reacquainted with each other.

“Herschel, you as well? My, my. You haven’t aged a day.” He held out a hand which 47 stiffly accepted. Herschel? she thought. Well, isn’t that interesting.
Victoria eyed the man suspiciously. He was tall—very tall, as tall as 47 perhaps—slender, dressed very well in a sweater vest and a long wool peacoat, with a face that was plain and generally unremarkable. He had an unassuming smile, with a sort of sleepy look in his eyes. He didn’t seem particularly threatening.
She glanced at Diana, whose neck was glowing pink. She looked to her other side at 47 and noticed his hand clutching open and shut. Victoria looked back at the stranger. Very interesting.

Christmas Holiday in New York City. Diana runs a tight ship and is prepared for any number of things to go wrong. Not on her list of expectations is 47 and Victoria somehow inviting themselves along. And she certainly isn't expecting to run into a character from her past. Well, she is a Handler. She is equipped to handle things...but even she has her limits. She could probably handle one. Or the other. Handling both might be too much.

Sam was pretty sure he could read every single gay friendly guide to coming out or supporting queer family members ever written and literally none of them would even imply that arguing with gay people that they were actually just homophobic constituted as "ally behavior". However, Sam was equally sure that none of those book authors had found themselves accidentally watching their brother get pounded by an Angel of the Lord at 9 am on Tuesday, so Sam was pretty sure he might actually still have the higher ground. Now, if only Jack would stop trying to bond with Dean using gay slurs long enough for Sam to convince everyone of that, he might just be able to cobble together some remnant of sanity or, failing that, dignity.
