Summary
The thing about sex with Henry is, it’s never the same twice. Ilya is frozen for a second, eyes flicking down to the pillow. David is offering. And his body still feels so heavy to hold up. He moves slowly, like he’s afraid something is going to jump out at him (which is kind of embarrassing), until he comes to rest on his side, his head against the soft pillow.
Without looking away from his book, David reaches over to pull Ilya’s blanket - which had traveled with him - up to rest just under his chin. He leaves his arm over Ilya, resting on his back. Holding him.
Ilya sniffles.

He can’t breathe.
