Summary
role reversal au: Vi grew up in Piltover for most of her life with her sister and adoptive father. When her friend Ekko took her down into Zaun and managed to get himself pickpocketed by children, Vi finds herself in a bit of trouble with the locals. She seeks refuge inside a brothel and ends up meeting Artemis, one of the brothel workers.
It doesn't take Vi long to figure out that she's actually Caitlyn Kiramman, daughter of a notorious chembaron and heiress to an undercity empire.

After many years of pain and effort Jinx now freely lives with her sister and said sister's boring (but if she had to admit it very kinda amazingly okay) girlfriend in Piltover with little incident.
Except for maybe the occasional prank on the passing officer or sometimes the whole airship station down the road, which aside from that one time, have mostly been fairly harmless in her opinion.
But the point is she's trying, truly and genuinely trying, for she owes at least that much to Vi and Caitlyn who have been doing the same for her. And while it may have took a lifetime she can finally breath and believe again. Perhaps not in herself but in life and how maybe not everything is worth blowing up.
Until a certain light mage arrives on the scene that messes with her feelings in ways she can't understand let alone know how to control.

So, she’d taken one step at a time until she was down the hall and in the elevator. Had stood with the woman and the burly guard who’d walloped her good so many times over the years.
When she’d been given new clothes to wear, been given her release forms, all Vi could do was stare at the woman. Stare at her long and hard, unable to comprehend why she had actually gone and gotten her out.
She never got her answer—not verbally, but Vi knew.
Knew that Caitlyn Kiramman had, inadvertently, saved her life.
