Logan gets shot in the head with a supercharged alien bullet and wakes up with a bit of amnesia. It's okay though, he can definitely wing it.
(In which Logan pretends to know what's going on and jumps to wildly incorrect conclusions about the state of things).

What he’s got so far:1. He lives with a man named Wade and an old lady named Blind Al and the ugliest dog he’s ever seen in his life inexplicably named Mary.
2. He’s still an X-Man, or at least working with the X-Men, but he doesn’t live there anymore. Maybe he moved out of the mansion to live with Wade? He can’t imagine why they’d choose this shithole instead of there, but maybe Blind Al had something to do with it? She wasn’t frail by any means, but living alone in the city, blind and elderly, can’t be easy, and in his experience the older people get the more stubborn they become. She probably refused to leave and Wade stayed to take care of her. And Logan had moved in at some point when they became serious.
Because that’s the third thing he’s figured out. Wade is his boyfriend - or partner, as he’d put it earlier. (Boyfriend did sound a bit immature for men their ages).

The oven is on. The timer is set for half an hour. Various bowls and canisters and implements of destruction litter the kitchen. Logan's arms are dusted with white powder, one of them cradling a large bowl and the other wielding a spoon.
Logan casts a glance over his shoulder. "Snorting cocaine," he says bluntly. "Want some?"

Friends aren't the only ones that Logan lost from his world. His ten-year-old daughter, Laura, one that he hadn't even known existed for most of her life, is killed by mutant-hunters that night. Or so Logan believes.
Until Logan has started to settle into his new world, his new life, with his complicated feelings for Wade and weird fucking dog, and the TVA suddenly drops in with a familiar, half-feral little girl.
Or, Logan and Wade get the 'f' word that they'd long since given up on having, and finally get their shit together.

Wade did catch Logan making judgmental and unwarranted remarks to Mary while Wade was busy with Nicepool’s tragic and untimely passing, but he considered it uncouth to bring up at the bedside of a dying man, even if it was shockingly adorable. However, it turns out that that was not the end of it. No, no, not in the slightest. It’s a full-on habit. Wade has successfully gotten video multiple times and gotten his fingers broken three times in the process (once by Blind Al, who was in her sleep T-shirt at the time and did not appreciate being filmed once the scuffle informed her it was happening).

Of all the people from Logan’s old life who could have run into him, this was the only one that Logan wouldn’t immediately drop everything and run from. Wade fucking Wilson. Of all the guys he’d worked with, him and Wade had a special bond. It was the kind of bond that rumors flew around camp about, and that they denied, if only to not have to be separated from one another. This guy was the one who had kept him company in those terrible years with Special Forces, being made to do things he could never forget and certainly would never be forgiven for.

After over a decade of looking like a walking, talking, killing version of a PSA on why you shouldn’t smoke while taking a nap, Wade has gotten pretty used to not having to worry about, well, anything, happening to his body.
Wade is used to treating his body like shit, because it doesn’t fucking matter.
Nothing he can do to it sticks, so who gives a shit?
He brings this up because it matters. Why? It matters because he should really ask more details when Colossus requests his help on an X-Mission, and shouldn’t just agree when he hears the words ‘mutant experiments’. Because he’s here now: surrounded by bodies- some living and unconscious, and some dead- pinned on the fucking dirty ground of another fucking evil base that was fucking with mutants, by another rod after getting blasted by a ray that seems a little more scifi than usual for his movie series. A little Deja vu PTSD, but it’s fine.
