The chips do not ensure total compliance. The chips do not, in fact, ensure any degree of compliance.

The chips are possibly totally worthless, but Kamino is sure this will be fine. The clones are still trained to be obedient; why wouldn't they follow orders?

    Summary

Silvergifting co-ruling Mordor for fun and aesthetics.

Celebrimbor finds out Annatar is Tar-Mairon - the ruler of Mordor - but not that he's Sauron, and then they play commitment chicken about it. Be a decent person by my standards or I'm breaking up with you. Marry me or I won't be a decent person by your standards. Promise me you won't go to war with my friends and family or I won't marry you. etc etc etc.

Both of them are at least half expecting the other to back out, because this is an insane person thing to do on both their parts, but because of that expectation, neither one does the backing out himself.

    Bookmarker's Notes

This whole series is a masterpiece. A painful, beautiful masterpiece, full of equal parts hurt and healing. Though it starts with misery, it gradually and gracefully transitions into joy. You will cry at least as much as you'll laugh. You'll sometimes want to strangle the characters even more than you want to hug them. But this is first and foremost a story of healing. And if you've even known great grief or all-consuming pain, it will hopefully be a familiar one. If you have not, then it may perhaps grant a small measure of something almost like understanding.
