What confused Hawks about all this though was why the villain was always there. Surely he had his own place, right? He must have, since while he was at Hawks' apartment all the time, he wasn't there everyday.
Maybe Hawks should find out.
After all, if the villain was going to be breaking into his place all the time, he should return the favor.
Hawks decided it was his turn to find out just how his Villain Contact lived.

Dabi slurps noodles once more.
“Did you…um,” Fuyumi adds next, “ever run into each other?”
“I tried to kill him,” Dabi says next. “I burned his wings.”
There’s a squeak. Natsuo’s and Fuyumi’s eyes widen.
“Don’t worry,” Hawks reassures. “I lived.”
“Stubborn bastard,” Dabi grumbles almost immediately. He lifts the bowl to sip broth. “I threw him out a window.”
“I lived then, too,” Hawks reassures before they can have another scandalized gasp. “Don’t worry. It’s how he shows his affection.”

Post-war, Todoroki Touya is pardoned from his crimes, while Hawks gains a new title: the Dabi Whisperer.

Summary

“Do you even want to prove me wrong?” Aki scoffs. Angel's eyes widen slightly, like he’d been caught doing something forbidden. The air suddenly stills.
“Would it be so hopeless?” The devil finally asks, and it sounds so genuine, Aki can’t help but consider his words. To ask a man to change his values, and a devil to change his nature.
“It might be."
