Summary
Lan Wangji thickly swallowed the bile rising in his throat; emotion was welling in him, threatening to overflow. Shamefully, he found himself examining every principle of the Lan Clan at a rate that shouldn't be possible; searching for some loophole, some way he could stay loyal to his clan and loyal to his heart. He had never even considered the latter until Wei Ying barreled into his life, dripping Emperor's Smile down his chin and laughing loudly; all mischievous grins and kind words, somehow brash and gentle simultaneously. Wei Ying was fiery, yes, but he reminded Lan Wangji of the ice that touched nearly every surface of his home in Gusu. Breathtakingly beautiful, like he was handcrafted by God himself to glitter under the moonlight, but still strong and cold in the face of danger. His features were hard and smooth, but clear as water; people had often compared Lan Wangji to a peerless jade statue, but Wei Ying had all the grace of a sculpture with all the expression of a love song.
Against his better judgment, Lan Wangji flees to the Burial Mounds with Wei Wuxian; together they find something much too perfect to be described as mere "happiness". They build something dark and beautiful.

Summary
It was a lot to take in if he were honest with himself. It wasn't that Sizhui was wary of Wei Wuxian; it was just that he wasn't entirely comfortable in his presence just yet. They had shared a warm hug after the events at the Guanyin temple and another upon his return to the Cloud Recesses, but, as much as he wished it otherwise, two hugs could not adequately replicate the years of parental love he'd received from Hanguang-jun. Even if Wei Wuxian was technically his other father now, they couldn't immediately have the relationship Sizhui had with the man who raised him, and it saddened him deeply. It felt like it was too late.
Sizhui grapples with the reality of growing up and it brings him closer to Wei Wuxian.

Tokoyami walked into Hawks office to bid him goodnight (and advise him to sleep as well) when he stopped dead in his tracks. His heart skipped a beat before pounding double time.
His mentor was sleeping peacefully on the couch, facing the back with his wings slumped towards the floor. Being used as a lap pillow and gently running his hand through the number two hero's hair, was Dabi.

"The fuck it doesn't!" Dabi lunges forward, grabs the collar of Hawks' compression shirt and yanks Hawks up to growl in his face. "You murder someone for me, you do something that could get you killed, for me, and it doesn't have anything to do with me?"
"Okay," admits Hawks, "When you put it like that—"

Hawks’ face flushed again. “Wasn’t that bad this morning.” He paused, mustering up a loose smirk. “You worried about me or something?”
Dabi snorted. “Don’t flatter yourself.”
“‘S just a cold, hot stuff, don’t worry,” Hawks said, flashing a charming smile that didn’t reach his tired eyes. He began to unlace his boots, but his fingers were numb and unwieldy, and his balance was off. As Dabi opened his mouth to say something—probably something unhelpful, something stupid and unnecessary—the hero crumpled to the floor.or: hawks doesn't know how to take care of himself, and dabi's too stupid to let him try.
