    Summary

Ilya Rozanov is the thorn in Shane's side. He's rude, cocky, stressfully perceptive, and his stats are the only ones better than Shane's in the whole OUA. Even worse, they play on the same team, and the only person who might beat Shane out for the C next year is Rozanov.

Ilya and Shane are so at odds they can't even manage to complete a stupid challenge at Playoff Camp without making fools of themselves and, according to Hazy, getting cursed.

It's frustrating and embarrassing, until it becomes clear that the curse is very very real and it becomes horrifying instead. For the next six weeks (at least) Shane is stuck by Ilya's side, unable to go more than a few feet away without unbearable pain.

Now, they somehow have to pull off going to class, winning the playoffs, and not killing each other, not to mention keeping their secret from their friends and teammates.

    Shane is so fucked.

    Summary

Five years after Shroud is defeated, Waterboy lives comfortably as a high-ranking SDN hero. The Z-team, now a well respected hero troupe, lives on in something just to the left of glory. Everything is peaceful. Or, at least, as peaceful as it can be.

And then he's flung violently back into the past, forced to watch as old wounds open. Okay. Whatever.

There's really not much he can do without messing up the future, but... maybe there's some comfort he can provide. Some life he can bring to his past teammates' eyes.

It's the least he can do.

    Summary

If there's one thing that Whitaker knows, people don't expect from him, it's the alpha gene.

He gets it—the slumped shoulders and tired eyes don't exactly scream I'm ready to take charge, and when he opens his mouth, he's not exactly the strongest voice in the room.

His whole family had been surprised, his parents especially; an alpha-omega pair mated straight out of high school, ready to bring a fleet of farmers into the world, who hadn't exactly been expecting a lot of change. And most of his family are betas—safe, dependable; the sort of kids who grow up and move just down the road. He'd shocked them all by being alpha, which had only let them feel that stern Midwestern sort of pride for a few moments, before he let slip in the shock of it all that he was leaving to become a doctor.

OR: Dennis is holding onto the edge of his sanity by the tips of his fingers. It's too bad that literally no one else, except for Trinity and Mel, got that message.

    Summary

“No,” he says, smiling gently, like he doesn't know how irritating he's being. “Is my room first, da? You should speak with front desk.”

    Hollander stares at him.

And then he starts to laugh.

You ask the front desk,” he shoots back, in between his odd wheezes. Ilya's heart starts to pound in double time, because this is not—this cannot be Shane Hollander playing bed chicken with him. Their competitiveness is fierce, to be certain, but surely, Hollander would be the bigger person, no? “This is my fucking room, Rozanov. Wild horses couldn't drag me away.”

OR: Ilya's apartment is under construction. Shane's in town for a game. It'd be a shame if they somehow had the same hotel room.

[or, or: we need some more goddamn 'there was only one bed' out here.]
