Summary
Logically, she must have known there was a surgical scar on his body from his assassination attempt, the one that put him in the crutch he’s currently using. But she never imagined it, and even if she had, she would never had thought of something so… gruesome. It must not have been a clean gunshot. The union of scarred and natural skin looked almost serrated all around. And the size of the scar itself, it was probably larger than the palm of her hand. The skin was discolored to a deep tan, starkly contrasting on his pale skin. Lucy’s throat felt dry.
“Sorry you had to see that,” Tim says with a small smile, looking absolutely unaffected by a stranger seeing a not-at-all-public mark on his body. Despite his words and tone and body language, his eyes looked like they wouldn’t hesitate to cut her open. Exactly the reaction Lucy or any other stranger would expect from calm, cool, collected, and powerful Tim Drake-Wayne. Exactly the opposite reaction anyone else would have if the roles were reversed.

Aang and Sokka looked very puzzled. “You don’t know what they fight about?” The two asked in tandem.
Zuko and Suki looked at each other then back at the two. “No.” They responded in a deadpan.
“Oh.” Aang said, sounding confused. “Well, they fight about…” He stopped himself, then looked at Sokka. “What do they fight about?”
Sokka shrugged. “I dunno. Girl stuff maybe? There’s definitely something there about parents, maybe? I’m not entirely sure, I’ll be honest.”
Aang nodded decisively. “Girl stuff it is.” He looked towards Zuko and Suki, then spoke as if they hadn’t witnessed the last 40 seconds of conversation. “They’re fighting about girl stuff!”

"I promise I will not tell anyone else about what happens in this room tonight." Tim swears, raising his hand like he's making a pledge, "Regardless of whether or not I choose to accept and/or enact your proposed plan."
"Ok great!" Kon grinned wide and bright before something nervous caught in it. Barely a moment later he smoothed it out again, flipped to the second page of his presentation, and announced, "I think we should have a friends with benefits arrangement."
Regardless of whether or not he'd previously agreed to hearing Kon's proposal out, he could not have possibly stopped the knee jerk, "Absolutely not." From leaving his mouth.
"You promised!" Kon accused, pointing a finger at him, "You said you'd hear me out properly."

Or, Tim and Kon engage in the weirdest game of platonic gay chicken the world has ever seen.
(There’s no cliff hangers at the ends of chapters, so you can easily read it as is even though it’s currently a WIP)

His sweatshirt is still covered in blood, and soaked from the rain, but he ignores this. It’s fine. He’s fine. He’s the same calm, level-headed Tim he’s always been. So he plans.
Tim is a murderer. He murdered someone. It's an unchangeable, unshakeable fact...but no-one else knows about it. No-one knows what Tim has done. And if he’s smart, and careful, no-one ever will.
All he has to do is learn to live with it.

Summary
It sucked that Tim couldn't trust his family. They had either been his abusers or bystanders, but even when he tried to take himself off their hands, they clung to him like a sticky residue. Trapped, he felt like a mouse beneath a cat's paw, and he knew the only escape would be a clean-cut break with no room for interpretion.
Somehow, they made room for interpretation.
“Bruce,” Tim rasped, his discarded Red Robin suit a thousand pound weight in his hands, clean and ready to go in its case. “You don’t even *like* me.”
The truth dangled between them like a spider’s web clinging to separate walls.To no one’s shock, Batman said nothing. The only sounds in the cave were the shuffling of bats and Tim’s bike rumbling softly at the entrance, waiting patiently for him to make his escape.
