He wasn't used to the feel of grass beneath his feet.
It looked deceptively soft, a gentle shade of green and yellows; on the plateau, it was sparse. It mainly was open planes of dirt, pebbles tucked deep into the surface, harsh on the soles of his feet. Grass seemed to only appear in the shadows; near the old King's decrepit house, before the tall Sheikah tower, and near the trees that housed a small camp of Bokoblins. Small, shy patches. The rest seemed scorched, wilted. Near the perimeter especially, if it was there, it was brown. Almost as if afraid of the sun, afraid to stand out and be green once more, lest it be burned.

Summary
He leans over the sink, bathed in the shadow, hunched, still smelling of smoke. His left hand clutches tight at his right wrist, to still the violent trembling. Guy chokes down a groan, fighting the rolling, burning pain emanating from the entirety of his right hand. He breathes shallowly, forcing himself through calming breaths, before twisting his palm to face him.
Even in the dark, he can see it. The deep slash that tears his palm, across the entirety of his fingers. At their bases, the dark blood gathers in the creases, no longer bleeding but a dark stain against his pale skin.
And then, he focuses on the ring, and the deep divot torn into the pink steel, following the exact curve of the cut against his skin. The ring glows faintly, pulsing, and his hand burns in agonizing pain. He's shaking so badly, just praying the pain will end soon, leaning all his weight against his bathroom sink, and he mutters to himself again, soothing.
Then the glowing pink of the ring begins to bleed. Like the blood of a snapped pink glowstick, staining the hands of whatever kids had touched it, leaving its brightly colored poison on their delicate skin. Plastic cracked, uncaringly.

Summary
He called himself Delic, which had to be one of the stupidest stage names Hibiya had ever heard.
"Like Psychedelic?" A puff of acrid cigarette smoke hung between them. Hibiya wrinkled his nose as the fake blonde gestured with calloused fingers, "It's, it's cool, cause it's the opposite of my aesthetic— with the suits and the— "
"Yes, I understand." Hibiya interrupted, wondering if this project was going to be way more taxing than he originally signed up for.
The script was garbage. It was some kind of buddy-comedy without the comedy, full of undeserved emotional moments followed by an excess of out-of-pocket comments that seemed like they never should've made it out of the writing room.
His character was a prince, with a tacky gold cape and gloves that didn't breathe. With an accent he had to fake and soles higher than he was comfortable with. It felt more like a child's Halloween costume than something he'd have to pretend was the pride of generations of royal seamstresses. Fake jewels, fake gold, fake motivations.
It was tragic, truly. He'd played better characters than this.

"It wasn't a roofie, Shinra said," Kanra muttered, taking a sip of a dark amber-colored drink, before leaning forward to press her lipstick-covered mouth against Shizuka's; the blonde hummed a bit in surprise, before letting that bittersweet liquid flood between their lips. They separate with a wet smack, and Kanra taps her nose to the side of Shizuka's, "Aphrodisiac, she said. Probably."
"That's not any better," Shizuka growled, thinking of what could have happened, what was intended, that ugly man using an ugly drug because he knew no woman would want him otherwise, "We still don't know if you'll feel weird, or just— "
"Horny?" Kanra interrupted, leaning forward to place a hand on Shizuka's arm, rubbing her knees together absently.
"Yeah,"
"Come on, you still look good," Kanra mumbled into her ear. Shizuka frowned in confusion, and Kanra elaborated, "I still want to drink, I mean. Let's not let this ruin our night, huh?"

Robotnik once read an article about a man trapped in the Nevada desert. While he waited to be rescued, he wrote a letter to his wife every day in case he didn’t survive. Robotnik thought that was stupid. If he was ever in that kind of situation, he would use his energy to survive. Love was just a useless chemical reaction that he did not care for.
He would never have someone that in a life or death situation, he would be fighting to get home to.
