Summary
A hundred years after the Decepticon victory at the end of the great civil war of Cybertron, Shockwave begins a new, rather indulgent scientific test.
The purpose of the Re-Forge experiment is to see if a spark taken from a purpose-built cold construct mech can be put into a new protoform and naturally form a new frame according to its innate coding, and to investigate how similar or different the resulting mech might be, physically and mentally, from its former incarnation.
The spark of the captured Autobot officer Prowl, previously stored in stasis, is an ideal candidate for this experiment, since much is already known about the mental characteristics he exhibited as a cold construct.
Reborn with the frame he was always meant to have, and with no memory or awareness of his past existence, the spark of Prowl begins a new incarnation of life as a Decepticon and chooses a name for himself, Venator.
Following an assasination, Venator is sent to track and capture the last Autobot known to still remain free, Jazz.

Summary
Taking in the sight of him, his plating is… unfamiliarly unique. It has curves and ridges unlike any other mech he’s ever seen, and now that he isn’t curled in on himself, Tailgate can see that the impalement wound isn’t the only injury he has. On the side he'd turned away and hidden against the cliff, there’s deep scratches gouging through his abdominal plating, sluggishly bleeding thick energon. Said impalement is further down, the metal shoved up under and displacing a piece of leg plating uncomfortably, and—
Tailgate cycles his optics.
This mech doesn’t have legs.
Tailgate is a shore maintenance worker, preventing cliffs from degrading into the Rust Sea. When his coworker abandons him mid-shift, he's ill-equipped to help a mech he finds washed up and injured on the shore, much less when he realizes this is a creature he didn't even know existed yesterday.

There are some great quick-and-dirty guides to HTML on A03. This is not one of them - it is a comprehensive guide
It's now 2025, a decade later. A03 supports some new HTML and and we're all walking around reading fic on supercomputers that fit in a jean pocket. It was time to update.
The previous three chapters have been divided into smaller concepts. Each tag continues to have - at a minimum - a link to the w3schools page about it (so you can learn more), a code example, and the result of the code example. Most tags have their attributes, things like [src] or [title], listed and examples of how using the attributes modify the tags.
There's a chapter on Bad Ideas, including how some of the archive's default CSS is available to you to format your work (users can't turn that off by hiding a workskin!)
Oh. And I added a bunny army. You could learn how to add one too.

“Oh look at that,” the mech said, a little quirk of his lips. “I didn’t expect the frame lock mod to go so hard on ya, but I guess that’s what happens when you divert most of ya processor and frame functions away from mobility, huh? Makes it work that much easier.”
Shockwave stared at the mech, with his distinctively Polyhexian audial horns – of all 25 various audial receptor configurations this one was 77.9% recorded from the Polyhexian region – and the visor that was dimmed to the point one might think it was not even activated. Effective for avoiding detection but less effective for sensory data unless he had modifications to his frame to adjust for the weaker visual feed.
“Hope I didn’t fry your circuits that much, mech, or neither of us are going to enjoy the next part.”
