Summary
All the nobles are to do The Ritual when they come of age to ensure the prosperity of the Continent. Perhaps once upon a time, there were no monsters but now with no one to equal them and kill them, they are so numerous that going outside and traveling has become a very dangerous pastime. Tonight, it’s Jaskier’s turn and he has been set to fail.

Summary
On a road in the middle of nowhere, Jaskier suddenly collapses. He's not ill or cursed but Geralt can tell magic is the cause. He helps the bard and they find Jaskier is not all that he seems.
Jaskier is a dragon. A dragon who had no recollection of ever being one before. Together, he and Geralt go in search of answers and try to peice together how much of Jaskier's past is even real.

Summary
Jaskier was a dragon that hoarded people. His friendships were his hoard. And Geralt, oblivious to all of this, was the prized piece of it. The one his instincts insisted was his mate.
When Geralt rejected Jaskier on the top of the mountain, Jaskier ran. Finding himself stuck in his dragon form, he flew off in search of another member of his hoard, Ciri.
Little did he know that Ciri was in search of Geralt.
