Summary
Why do so many in this fandom have such a fascination with Feanor and his sons? Why do these blatant criminals, warmongers, and thieves reliably draw admiration or even love from readers, clearly contrary to their creator's intent?
Part textual history of the stories of Feanor, his sons, his family, and his angelic enemies as their characters radically changed with Tolkien's increasingly rigid beliefs, part literary analysis, part raging against the gods, part questioning the glories of paradise, this aims to convince the reader that if Feanor the character is a villain, then Feanor the personification of man's rebellion against authority is not, even if Tolkien grew to believe he was. To be drawn to the Feanoreans in spite of Tolkien is to be drawn to Don Quixote in spite of his creator's attempt to bury the character, and with him an ideology.

When it comes to him, she thinks she’s as malleable as a bowl of dough. It itches at her sometimes. Lucy wonders if she’s this obvious to everyone else. If they can tell from the way she moves around him, like he’s the sun and his gravitational force is pulling her in, has always been pulling her in, and how when he looks back, she’ll be behind him looking forward, always a step or two behind him in pursuit, if not at his side, and that when she imagines her future, it’s always with him in it, by her side, and the name that’s come out of her mouth the most since the day she became a fairy tail member—the name that she’s screamed and sobbed, that she’s said with both anger and excitement, with joy and sorrow, with horror, even, but most of all with the knowledge that he’ll say her name right back equal in measure—is his name.
Lucy wonders if her feelings are this obvious to everyone except Natsu.
Natu gets into Lucy’s bed for what seems like the millionth time. This time, however, feelings ensue.

Natsu and the others are finally back from the 100 years quest to their old and same guild, except it's not actually the same.
Gajeel and Levy now have babies, Gray and Juvia are actually together and Erza finally found a way to bring Jellal to Fairy Tail and into her life. The question on everyone minds was "what about Natsu and Lucy?". They all expected they to end up together but was it really going to happen when they both seens to be so emotionally oblivious?
Short fanfiction on how I imagine things happening between NaLu post-cannon, hope you like it!
