“Do you like me or what?” Kacchan grabs a pillow and smacks it toward him.
“Uh,” What does he say? Does he potentially ruin his friendship with Kacchan and admit it? Fuck. He’s caught on. Maybe he could get out of this and play nonchalantly, ‘Or what?”
“Or what? Are you fucking serious, or what?”
Or, Izuku is so down bad for Katsuki it's almost perverted. And Katsuki tries to make a move but it goes over Izuku's head. Completely.

When they're in-costume and working, they're completely in-sync. He and Izuku become extensions of each other. There's a deep, primal intimacy in that—in knowing someone so well that their movements become yours, that you're sharing one body, one mind, one heartbeat.
But because they're not constantly sucking face or doing obnoxious lovey-dovey shit like some other hero partner couples, the gossip rags always spin his and Izuku's relationship as some sort of tragic drama. Dynamight and Deku are breaking up, have broken up, are dating other people but still working together to keep up appearances.
Whatever.
The point is, when they're Dynamight and Deku they're hero partners first and foremost.
Which makes Katsuki's slip-up all the more fucking mortifying.
