She wasn’t breathing. He had been too late. A kettle of hot water splashed over him as he covered her body in his tangzhuang.
She was dead. No breath in her body. No pink tint to her cheeks. Dead. Ranma clutched her closer. She was gone. And it was his fault. “Akane please. Can you hear me? I need you to hear me. Please come back to me. I want you to hear this. I love you!” But her eyes didn’t open, her chest didn’t rise. “Akane..”
