Arthur doesn’t understand most of what she just said but nods anyway.
Squinting her eyes, she gauges his confusion regardlessly. “It’s someone pretending to be the famous sorcerer. See here, this is his most recent tweet.” At Arthur’s odd look, she clarifies, “It’s like a message that everyone can see.”
@asorcerersays: Guys why did he have to be so hot and like,,,funny? Like it’s been forever and I still miss him. He was pretty dumb though.
Arthur knows his face must look disgusted. “For everyone to see?”

Clark swallows, then takes a tentative step forward, then another. Soon, he’s standing right in front of it, his heart pounding in his chest.
He takes a breath, then looks into the crib.
His stomach drops again.
“Oh.”
“I’m so sorry,” Lena says quietly. Her voice shakes a little.
Clark doesn’t reply. His eyes are locked on what’s in the crib, taking in the round cheeks, the small fists, the thick, dark hair.
He doesn’t need to breathe, technically, but he feels like all the oxygen in his lungs has been stolen anyway.
After what feels like an eternity, they scrunch up their face, wiggle a little, yawn, and then slowly open their eyes.
Blue.
Bright, otherworldly blue eyes, just like his own, stare back at him.
