"You smell weird," Riki says, looking back down at the counter, completely forgetting proper greetings. Forgetting everything, really. Because even though the scent is so skewed, it's making Riki forget where to put his fingers as he cuts more melon away from the rind.
"Hello, to you, too." At least Heeseung has some humor in his voice. Maybe this conversation won't be so fucked.
If Heeseung were literally a watermelon instead of an alpha, he'd be the sweetest one Riki's ever had, but now Riki's spitting out the seeds and throwing tantrums over barbeque and math assignments like it'll make him feel any better about his body's chosen mate.

And then everything goes black.
