And sure, some would say that the days when he could run for hours and contort himself into all sorts of athletic positions in the air to score are gone. But that doesn't mean he can't still completely bamboozle defenders with a drop of the shoulder, or deliver a bullet header so hard it nearly breaks the net. He can still bulldoze through a wall of players trying to stop him, hip-check one, and send another spinning the other way.
And if it's *Leo* passing him the ball??
Luis is not so decrepit that he can't score a couple of absolute bangers in MLS with Leo feeding him.
And he's still good at a few other things too--if the way Leo's moaning into his neck is anything to go by.

Summary
Luis Suárez was undoubtedly Miami's second biggest star and that came with the fans and the press and the unrelenting attention of the world, but he wasn't Lionel Messi.
And it was Lionel Messi who Yassine was there to protect.
Luis hadn't seemed to have a problem with that, had grinned toothily at Yassine and seemed to pleasantly agree before turning to greet some other club officials. Yassine had been glad they were on the same page, because the last thing he wanted was some asshole with a misplaced sense of self importance making his job any more difficult than it had to be.

Summary
His eyes are wandering amongst the bare skin--truthfully to admire the ink of his new teammates more than anything else--and they pause on Messi. There's a half second where Arturo notes the truly awful portrait on the upper back before his eyes slide downward as if magnetized, to appreciatively contemplate a gorgeous ass.
Leo's wearing black briefs, so it's not as vulgar as it sounds, though Arturo quickly moves his gaze upward so he doesn't get caught ogling his new teammate. That's really when he notices. There are tiny smudges painted on Leo's hips on either side--dark blue and purple splotches all in a row--and Arturo narrows his eyes in thought as he wonders why Leo would choose that sort of tattoo. He's counting them, noting five on each side, when it occurs to him that they're not actually tattoos: they're bruises.
And if Arturo doesn't miss his guess, they're from fingers.
Someone gripped Leo's hips hard enough to leave bruises, and Arturo's no idiot.
Those kind of marks are only from getting fucked.

Summary
He and Leo have always been very cordial. Their relationship is as good as one that a goalie and a forward from an opposing team can have. Joe respects Leo's immense ability, as well as the fact that Leo never intentionally tries to hurt him when they play. He wishes he could say the same for some of the other strikers he's up against. And Leo has always been very complimentary of Joe's skills, both in the little moments after the game when they exchange pleasantries, as well as when he's interviewed.
But that little bit of small talk doesn't explain why Leo's here.

Summary
Leo and Luis throughout the seasons.
The earlier stories were a possible attempt to find a third person to theoretically join Leo/Luis in their relationship, however by the time I actually finished those fics the person I had in mind was no longer really at Barcelona lol. Each time!
While I believe these all to be linked and in the same series, they can all stand on their own and it is not necessary to read them all or in order with the exception of "Maybe I'm Enough" coming first.

Summary
Ilya was only a few strides behind Shane on the ice.
He clocked the angle before the hit even landed; Marlow coming in too hot, too fast, shoulder high. Shane turned and slowed at the wrong moment, skates clipping, balance gone.
Impact.
The sound carried oddly through the arena, duller than boards, sharper than ice. Shane went down hard, helmet skidding, body twisting. And then it all happened at once. Skates tangled. Marlow stumbled over him as he fell, too. A skate’s blade flashed too close, too sharp.

Shane's injuries during the Boston/Montreal game are much more life-threatening than in canon. Ilya's quick thinking and bone-deep instincts are the only reason he survives.

Summary
Shane Hollander is tired of wanting someone he cannot have, and he’s dying as he waits for someone who will not stay. Someone who doesn’t want to stay, not when there are so many others waiting for him. Fun of another variety, Shane left a treat amongst many.
It’s humiliating. It’s distracting. And it feels like shit.
He wishes he could erase his feelings, move on as easily. In an effort to gain back control over the ‘situation’ that has become his romantic attraction to a notorious player, Shane attempts at imitating Ilya Rozanov’s methods until he perfects them and becomes as good as keeping it light and casual as his rival.
Or Shane tries to Hoe Phase himself into a self discovery journey to choke and kill his feelings for Ilya Rozanov. Ilya is not the only who suffers from it, but he sure feels like he’s being choked and killed.
