“Close your eyes,” Wei Ying says, and Lan Zhan, surprisingly obedient, does. He takes a piece of the dessert and presses it gently against Lan Zhan’s lips. He notices a gentle crease between Lan Zhan’s eyebrows, at first, before he—and again this is a surprise—opens his mouth to take the bite, lips brushing against Wei Ying’s fingertip. Wei Ying wrenches his hand away, nearly dropping the plate. It’s clearly been too long since he last slept with anyone if he’s having impure thoughts about his coworkers eating food at 3pm on a Wednesday.

Lan Wangji peels back the covers. “In.”
“Lan Zhan,” Wei Wuxian says warily, “this isn’t sexy.”
“I am aware. In.” Lan Wangji is not budging.
“Lan Zhaaaaaaaan,” Wei Wuxian whimpers. “I can just go home if you don’t want to fuck.”
“Get into the bed, Wei Ying,” Lan Wangji says. “If you sleep until five in the morning, you will get the sexual gratification you so clearly crave.”
Wei Wuxian pauses. “You’ll fuck me at five AM?” he says.
Lan Wangji eyes him a moment. “If you sleep, I will suck you off at five AM.”
Wei Wuxian rolls right into the bed and sprawls like he owns the place, somehow filling most of Lan Wangji’s king sized mattress with his lanky body and dragging one of the pillows into his arms. “Why didn’t you say so before?”

So....I will freely admit that I am unlearning some toxic shit in my head re: sex work, and this fic was just SO GOOD. Lan Zhan's struggles feel super real, and his eventual diagnosis of autism makes a lot of sense in-universe and his own unlearning of his own toxic shit is just SO real. And Wei Wuxian, god, Wei Wuxian. I love him so much.

The people who followed him? More like that single person. His chest fills with warmth as he thinks abruptly of bunny130809 and his bunny icon and his earnest, awkward, achingly sweet words.
“Well, anyway,” Wei Ying says, eager to move on from the subject. It’s making him dizzy, the way Lan Zhan’s voice keeps bleeding into his old follower’s typed words. He’s probably just projecting, and that must say something about him, right? Had there been only two persons in all this time who’d been patient enough to really listen to him, for them to mesh together so seamlessly in his head?
