Peter always knew he was the odd one out in his family. It wasn't like he didn't try, he did try to be apart of the family just when he was younger and it never worked. He was never able to connect with anyone, at least not the way Harley connected with their dad, or the way Morgan had everyone wrapped around her little finger since the day she was born.
Peter was just there, in a way he believed that he wasn't important, not to his family anyway. That was what he always believed, at least before he got his powers and became the one and only Spider-man.
Maybe there was a reason why he was always the odd one out after all.

Summary
When the day started, Kelly didn't put much thought into it. It was just a normal shift, a normal day, until he noticed an unfamiliar Floater walk out of the Firehouse. His mind freezes on the man. A topical Floater doesn't look like that. Look at those arms. A topical Floater doesn't treat the station he subbing at with that much dedication and care, but Evan Buckley isn't like your normal floater.
Kelly attempts small talk, not his favorite thing, with the quiet and withdrawn Floater; however, any attempt of friendship is ignored. Buckley just keeps to himself and makes no attempts to engage with the rest of Firehouse 51 or any Firehouse he floats at.
Who is this man? Why is he keeping everyone at arm's length? Why is he on edge all the time? Why does the word Family cause a visceral reaction?

No one in the team would talk to him and none of them seemed to see the struggles that he was having. On a simple grocery run after a long week at work, Buck is carjacked and taken to an abandoned house where he is sexually assaulted. He wanted to put it all behind him, but he discovers he is pregnant, and his whole world changes. Buck doesn't know how he would ever manage to be a single father, especially when the baby's father is his rapist. He's all alone in the world and Buck doesn't know if he or his baby will survive.
