The voice was so dry and clipped that Stevie almost missed the hiss of the kettle switching itself off. She turned, coffee spoon in hand, to find Dylan standing in the doorway like he’d who’d just been handed a death sentence. His eyes swept around the room - sharp, assessing - before settling on her with open suspicion.
She gave him a slow once-over, resisting the urge to laugh. “Morning to you too.”
Or, Stevie and Dylan have to share an office, and this is how it pans out.

A strange noise above them has Stevie looking up, her hands continuing their rhythm on autopilot as her attention is snatched by the sight of a crack appearing, winding its way jaggedly across the entire ceiling.
“Dylan…” she half whispers, all other words lost.Or, Stevie and Dylan go out on a HEMS call that goes horribly wrong, leaving the entire ED spinning while Nicole is thrown off by Ngozi's sudden aversion to them having a romantic weekend away.
