Two months later, Jamie is the top sales rep at the company, he's still got absolutely no idea what it is he's selling, and Roy Kent follows him on Twitter.
The Twitter thing takes Jamie on a real emotional rollercoaster ride. First of course he flips out with excitement, then he thinks it's probably a joke account or something, then he sees that it's verified and flips out again, then he crashes down to earth remembering how many celebrities (or celebrity accounts run by assistants or whoever) just follow everyone who mentions their name, and then he sees that Roy has only followed six accounts: the official AFC Richmond account, Nigella Lawson, Cher, Keeley Jones, a woman whose avi looks like she's probably related to Roy... and Jamie. In that order, meaning he followed Jamie first.

William can't exactly judge anyone for a little muttering, after all his years alone on the island, but this seems different—she'll ask a question and then pause, like she's listening to the answer. She never disagrees, never argues, pumps up her invisible friend like she pumps up everyone. She's such a sunny girl, always smiling and complimenting and looking on the bright side. It might put him at ease, if it didn't feel so much like it's supposed to.

Bucky glances up at Sam through his eyelashes. His look is soft and a little wistful, and it abruptly explains everything from the past two years. Simmering just below the surface of this look is the reason why someone like Steve would drop the shield for Bucky not once but twice, and would make that same decision over and over again if he had to.
It’s not like Sam didn’t get it before. He did. Of course he did. He’d have given everything up for Riley, would still give all of this up in a heartbeat if it meant having Riley back in his life, now more than ever. He got it before, all right.
