Summary
At the end of their fifth year of Hogwarts, the likelihood of Lily Evans and Sirius Black becoming mates was about as good as Lily Evans accepting James Potter’s invitation to Hogsmeade – not bloody likely. The pair of Marauders might have been her housemates, but they were not her friends. Not even after she stopped speaking to Severus had she considered them anything more than a pair of irritants.
But at the start of their sixth year, it seemed that the universe had other plans.
When you mix some tension into a warzone, you’re bound to find that there are some people who can’t sleep at night. As she stared dejectedly at the crossword, Lily looked up to see Sirius Black slouching into the Common Room, alone, a hand towel pressed to his nose, soaking up blood. He had a swollen cheek, and seemed to be limping.
“Are you alright?” She asked, standing up as he crossed the room.
“Brilliant,” Sirius muttered, heading for the dormitory stairs. He stopped suddenly, to look at the crossword in the dim light of the fire. “Dragon’s blood.”
“What?”
“Fourteen down. On the crossword? It’s three of the twelve uses of dragon’s blood.”

I love JJ and Sarah’s friendship and the fact that he saved her and her baby from drowning while his own mom died “drowned with her baby” is insane to me and I wish they had explored it more and shown us how they survived and how they managed to find the others."Here we are!!! a VERY long fic about how JJ and Sarah survived the storm in 4x09, and how they eventually got back to The Pogues.

Sirius inhaled slowly, trying to absorb the warmth of Potter Manor into his lungs, maybe even his soul. “Regulus loves snow,” Sirius said quietly, and it physically pained him to say the name. “I hope he can see it.”
James nodded seriously, “I’m sure he can, Pads. Sure he had a proper White Christmas.”
“He’d always want to go outside without his cloak when we were kids,” Sirius continued quietly, as if the snow was softening his voice from all the way outside, “I always had to put his winter cloak on for him. He wouldn’t let anyone else do it but me.”
James leaned closer, grabbing Sirius’s hand in his own.
“Bloody idiot would catch frostbite if it wasn't for me.”

Summary
“You should run away,” Regulus whispers and Sirius finds himself endeared, despite everything
“I don’t have anywhere to go,” Sirius whispers back.
Regulus does not know the details of what happened between Sirius and his friends last semester but Sirius thinks he might be close to understanding the severity of it. If it had just been a petty argument Sirius would have ran. He would have gone to James and let his friend keep him hidden and safe.
But it hadn’t just been an argument. Sirius had betrayed Remus and in doing so he had disappointed James as well and there was nothing he could do to make it right. He knows that if he went to James, he would let him stay despite it all but Sirius did not deserve his help. And on top of it all, it would have hurt Remus, who has always been unsure if James and Sirius loved him as much as they loved each other. Sirius does not want to hurt Remus again.
He will not hurt him again.
