Shane wipes his eyes, still catching his breath. "What, you don't have any Russian towns with rude names?"
Ilya's dark brows knit together, his eyes drifting toward the ceiling as he mentally catalogs his homeland's geography. His fingers drum against the countertop, leaving small prints in the dusting of protein powder Shane spills. "There is Dobrye Pchely? Means kind bees."
Shane's laughter fades into a soft, genuine smile. "Okay, but that is fucking adorable." He leans his hip against the counter and takes in the morning light catching the stubble on Ilya's jaw. "How is Russia cuter than Canada?" he marvels, voice warm with affection.
Ilya's shoulders square defensively, chin jutting forward. "Russia is not cute. We have sensible names, not pant names!"
"There's also a town called Dildo," Shane tells him, eyebrows raised in challenge.

Shane scrunched his nose. “Gross.”
Ilya sidestepped Shane and circled the front of the car. He wore a leather jacket and tight-fitting black jeans that probably cost as much as the car. But with the way they hugged his ass, Shane wouldn’t be complaining about them any time soon.
“You know,” Ilya said, dragging his fingers across the shiny hood. “I used to think about fucking you in one of these.”
Shane’s gaze snapped up. “How would that even work?”
Ilya put his hand on the driver’s side door handle. “Want to find out?”

“I can’t believe—this is unacceptable! I’m going to call the flight attendant over and get this sorted out right now!”
Flustered and cornered, Shane injects his Captain Voice into the conversation. “Ma’am, I understand that you’re upset, but I paid for this seat and am going to stay here. You’ll have to find someone else willing to change places or just fly with the seat you booked. I’m sorry I couldn’t help you.”
She hisses like a goddamn tea kettle, and starts to say, “You are the most selfish man I’ve ever—” when another voice behind her says, “You are blocking my seat. Move.”
Shane and the woman turn to assess the new arrival. It turns out that his seat partner is well above six feet tall, ripped as hell, and knows how to deliver an excellent bitch face. He’s also the hottest man that Shane has ever seen in real life, including a chance run-in with Jensen Ackles at a Stars game.
Or, still!famous Shane meets non!famous Ilya on a cursed flight from Ottawa to Boston and kind of (totally) falls in love with him at first sight (and first chirp)
