They've played with the settings. My, oh, my, how they've played. Off again, on again, a little slip of Mettaton's fingers on that switch to cut him off just long enough to hear that strangled yelp and bring him back again.
The tricky thing is, they create an absence of. That switch has no advanced settings. No filters. It's all or nothing, which can only take them so far. There's nothing to fight against. They are there, or they aren’t there, and that's all there is to it.
It just won't do.
Mettaton wants him straining.

Better than being stuck in a tiny cage for decades. You don't need a bunch of strings to be trapped forever, apparently all you need is one goddamn wire.

Summary
"LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.txt.vbs" was one of the most destructive computer worms ever to have been released onto the internet. It was able to rapidly proliferate by hijacking its victims' email programs, sending copies of itself to everyone in their address books, concealed inside spam emails.
In other words, Spamton's come down with an intestinal parasite, and he doesn't appreciate its opinions on his love life.

A year after being unplugged, Tenna reminisces on what he misses most, left in a box with his world becoming darker than ever. At least one old codger is still in his corner.

Now he has to actually put the work into acting like a person, sorting through his trauma, and getting to know his new roommate. With that track record, he couldn’t figure out why everyone in his life was so obsessed with sending him off to the lombax dimension. Everyone, up to and including the tiny robot he just met on Savali.

A rewrite of several scenes from Rift Apart (including Ratchet's argument with Rivet) to be more respectful of Ratchet's previous history, trauma, and decisions regarding the lombaxes.
