Summary
In the aftermath of Oakhurst, Abolish returns to work, but finds himself joined by two very familiar faces. "Done with those lunatics," he definitely was not. Still, he's got a job to do, and he's going to stick at it, even with two divorced-situationship/whatever-the-hell vampires flanking him. Abolish can be professional about the whole thing. His two new coworkers, however...
AU in which Owen and Legs both survive VSMP and join Abolish in the shadow organisation. Neither are coping with working with the other in a remotely normal fashion.

“Val, do it.” She recognizes the popping static of ghost speak. Danny raises his head and the pain in his eyes is gone, replaced with grim, angry determination.
She opens her mouth to respond, but he stops her.
“Don’t reply, just shoot me. If you do it, you’re free.”

Danny struggles with the cost of keeping his secrets to avoid hurting Valerie, while Valerie grapples with the real ramifications of her suit’s technology and how ghostly she's becoming. Together they must both face their truths if they want to get out alive.
