Frustration inadvertently came back to prick Yeseo's eyes with tears. He must have been too slow to blink them away, however, because Jibril immediately straightened up, his playful expression becoming instantly alert.

Yeseo's face was turning red now, because what was he even supposed to say to this? All of his issues that have been plaguing him for the past month were exactly because of Jibril-f*cking-Diop!

Summary
Jibril Diop had never truly held grand ambitions, acknowledging from a young age that the world wouldn't ever revolve around him. But for once in his life, he wanted something so badly that he was burning from the need for it—and Jung Yeseo, despite fully being able to do much better, pointed him out in this crowd and gently took him by the hand into the spotlight, fanning his flames and encouraging his irrational desire so that they both could burn together.
Like the anomaly that he was, Yeseo was probably the type to bet on the losing side of a dog race, and still somehow come out the proud victor.
