Teng Xiao brings up a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose in a bizarre gesture of discomfort, and sighs. “No. For some reason, he believes that you are the current Arbiter-General of the Luofu.”

“Behave,” Yoo Joonghyuk snaps. And then he returns to his game, murmuring a soft apology to his teammates. “My boyfriend came in,” he says simply, the words sending a jolt through Kim Dokja’s body. Even if Yoo Joonghyuk publicised the fact that he not only has a significant other, but that it was a man, six months after they first started dating (it’s been two years since then) Kim Dokja can’t ever get used to it. For privacy reasons, they keep Kim Dokja’s identity a secret, but he’s met some of Yoo Joonghyuk’s friends, and even then he couldn’t quite believe it.
After all, to announce something like that to so many of his fans… isn’t it the same as saying, to the whole world, that he belonged only to Kim Dokja, and that Kim Dokja only belonged to him?

The Wanderer's only reaction was to side-eye the Dendro Archon. “Yeah, suuuure.”
To Kaveh's complete and absolute despair, Lesser Lord Kusanali gave them an appraising look.

Through his hysteria, Father managed to give a rushed sequence of events – bad information, an ambush, Earth benders, no one else in the mission survived and they did not think Lu Ten would either, except the boulder fell strangely, crushed his arm, but staved off enough bleeding to keep him alive until healers arrived, he was lucky. Not that Lu Ten felt lucky.

Lu Ten survives, but his arm does not, leading to Zuko becoming his temporary scribe while he learns to write with his non-dominant hand; at the same time, he starts realizing family doesn't mean the same thing to everyone

Summary
Zuko realizes his destiny much earlier. As in, as soon as he wakes up in the palace after his Agni Kai and is told he is banished. Unfortunately, he's never been a patient one. So he storms right up to Ozai and tells him what he's going to do. And gets locked up for over three years. Then, one day, he's being pulled out and told he's the new Fire Lord.
A "Zuko never meets the Gaang and suddenly becomes Fire Lord after three years of literal torture" AU. In which the Gaang doesn't know what to think of the new Fire Lord who happens to be the missing nephew of Aang's firebending teacher, Iroh constantly has a headache, and, sure, maybe the world hates the Fire Nation, but the Fire Nation LOVES Zuko, and he can work with that.
