Summary
Lucifer lifts his head and blearily looks around the room. A part of him must still be asleep because he’s pretty sure he doesn’t have a fireplace in his room. Or the skeleton of some kind of creature on the wall. And a...a tree? Several trees? Are those fireflies?
He stares at the floating little dots of light, and the misty bayou beyond them, then turns and squints at the other side of the room, where there's a wallpapered wall and dark-wood floors. He turns his head again, to the moss-laden trees, cattails, and glowing bugs, and then looks down at the red comforter he's burrowed in.
This…

Summary
Alastor wanted to keep hunting the worst of humanity, so a deal with the Queen of Hell seemed like a reasonable way to accomplish that. Among all the ways such a deal could screw him over, this wasn't what he expected.
When Alastor made that deal with Lilith, he expected a career as Hell's most lucrative assassin. That's exactly what he got, but then he also got roped into helping Lilith fix her broken family. The results on that scheme have to be seen to be believed.

He hadn’t even managed to put on shoes when Charlie’s loud, desolated groan at the other end of the hotel had made him rush out of his room, and his slippers and the hems of his pyjama bottoms were slowly getting soaked through. Why the fuck had he even bothered to change? He loved Charlie (see constants no. 1-4), but even he had to admit his current discomfort was solely the result of the list of healthy bedtime rituals she’d organised for him when, allegedly, the bags under his eyes had started developing a gravitational pull.
In which Lucifer has insomnia, the hotel is moderately alive, and Alastor is in over his head.

Summary
With the exterminations (at least momentarily) cancelled and the hotel’s crew proving to all of Hell that they can hold their own, Charlie will finally get her shot at rehabilitating sinners. Not only that, but her dad has also moved in with them after so many years of fragile connection.
Living with him is… not quite like she remembered? But that’s fine! It’s great even, her dad is eager to help out despite his first doubts. And she’s really hoping he’d decide to stick around. There’s so much she didn’t know about her life at the palace, or Lucifer’s dealings with Heaven. Just a whole lot about her own dad she never questioned.
His ongoing animosity towards Alastor does cause some friction, but she’s sure they’ll figure out soon. After all, her dad never looks quite as animated as he is around Alastor, and he’s the only person that manages to get Alastor to break character from time to time. If only they saw how much they have in common…- Language:
