Darkness.
Dripping water -- burst pipes, the edge of a tub, onto the white floor of a white room, ripples spreading out and out and out -- drip. drip.
Buzzing. Burnt-out lights, irregular electricity, flies, black flies and fireflies and tree leaves scraping across each other, the hum of fluorescents giving out, the white noise of silence -- drip.
Panic, have to run, have to get away, hide, trapped, splitting, hurts --
A hand. A touch. Slow, quiet murmuring.

Alan Deaton told them -- warned them -- that there'd be a darkness around their hearts after Stiles, Scott, and Allison went through the surrogate sacrifice for their parents. Summary
Stiles has reached the end. She knew the Pack had been pulling away from her for awhile. She knew Scott saw her as his dorky sidekick who was there for research and even then he didn't always trust her research. Couldn't he see that all she wanted to do was protect the Pack? Protect the territory? Nope. After the Nogitsune, Scott tells Stiles she isn't Pack. Still, Stiles holds on. After her father - no, not her father, the Sheriff - disowns her, Stiles holds on. The last straw? The one that did her in? The Sheriff basically gave Mr. Argent permission to kill her. With nothing left, no reason to hold on any longer - Stiles goes to said Mr. Argent's house to give him the chance to do just that - kill her. What happens next is a ride of magic, murder, and discovering the true meaning of Pack.

Scott was the one who called the meeting, which was how he knew he had officially lost control of the situation.
“I’m just saying,” he started again, “things keep going wrong. We used to be better at this.”
“We used to have someone who did all the homework,” Lydia muttered.
“And who thought about traps,” Kira added.
“And backup plans,” said Boyd.
“And bribed the janitor to let us into the boiler room so we could kill that sewer wraith,” said Isaac.
Scott blinked. “Wait, what?”
“Don’t worry about it,” Erica grinned. “Point is, Stiles handled logistics. All of them. Quietly. And you let him.”
Jackson, ever the tactful one, said, “You guys were codependent as hell and now your emotional support gremlin doesn’t come around and we’re all going to die.”
“Can we not call him a gremlin?” Derek growled.Or: The Pack realizes how much they relied on Stiles, but they believe they've lost him forever. Peter isn't helpful, so they come up with the most ridiculous ways to get him "pack" (hehe).
