Summary
There's a lot of screaming going on inside the first house Stiles visits. He isn't really worried, because it sounds like kids, but then the door opens and hi, says his dick, because the dude in front of him is gorgeous, built like a god with a face like thunder. Stiles wants to lick that solid jaw line. Hold the fuck on, says his cop brain, because the dude's got kids hanging all over him; one's on his back, skinny legs looped around his waist, and another two hanging off one arm, toes barely brushing the ground. There's a tubby toddler clinging to his leg like a koala, and he's got a baby tucked into the crook of the one arm that doesn’t have kids hanging off it. Stiles' mouth drops open.
"How many of those kids did you kidnap?" he asks before he can wrangle his brain into submission.
The man gives him a look that says what the fuck is wrong with you and snaps, "You think I'd subject myself to this on purpose?"
"Oooh," says one of the kids hanging off his arm. "I'm telling Mom."

No, dad. Listen to what I'm saying. Yesterday, I was eighteen. I'm not speaking metaphorically, or about the way I feel or whatever. I was eighteen, we lived in the house on Maple, the last conversation we had was about how fries didn't count as a vegetable and I, uh, wasn't married.

I should go home, he thinks to himself, and finds himself taking a step forward. I should not touch that rock, he thinks, but it’s sleek and glossy like white marble, a smooth pillar with a slight curve in the middle and so he moves forward, reaches out and strokes it.

Summary
Maybe Derek’s right. Maybe fate is real, and he and Derek were fated to do this. It would make sense; if the universe always balances itself out, Derek’s life needed some serious overhaul when they met. The universe owed him a few decades of happy sighs and 4am milk pitchers full of ice water.

Summary
Steve Harrington never planned for Eddie Munson.
Steve was supposed to marry his high school sweetheart, have 2.5 children, and take over the family business. He was supposed to live a blissful life on a nondescript cul-de-sac, complete with a white picket fence and a closet full of tasteful polo shirts. He was supposed to make a graceful transition between being the golden boy and being the American Dream.
Mediocrity was what destiny had designed for Steve. Reality had other plans.
(Or, Steve and Eddie, against all odds, fall in love)

Summary
"We were also concerned about possible organ damage, particularly since you only have one kidney, but your ribs took the brunt of the impact," the doctor tells him. "We'll know more when the swelling from the penetrating wound goes down."
Ha, Buck thinks. Penetrating.
"Wait," Eddie says. "That's not right. Buck has both his kidneys."
The doctor consults the chart again, her eyebrows drawing together. “I’m sorry, Mr Buckley, is there an error in your medical history? I have it right here that you only have your right kidney, is that correct?"
"Ye-es," Buck says. He can feel Eddie’s gaze on the side of his face and studiously avoids it.
"What?" Eddie says. "How did I not know this? When did you lose a kidney, was this when you were a kid?"
"Uh..." Buck says. "Aha. Last year."
Eddie's face shifts from perplexed to horrified to thunderous all within about two seconds. It would be funny to see his stoicism so rattled under different circumstances. "When I was in Texas?"
.
Buck is determined not to fall back on old coping mechanisms after Eddie leaves for Texas. So he invents a new one: organ donation.Bookmarked by rorarot

Summary
He feels weightless for a second when his truck flips over, and for some inexplicable reason, he thinks back to when he was a kid. Whenever someone asked him what superpower he wanted if he could have any one, he always said flying. Flying didn’t end up being that fun, though. Not in a shot down helicopter, and certainly not in an overturning vehicle. He meant flying, like, in the sky and maybe with a cool pair of wings, but he never really gets what he wants. He gets what he wants but a little off-kilter, maybe 50% of what he was hoping for with some significant changes.
It’s getting a little funny.
Eddie tries to go to Texas. What do you get when you cross a man and an eighteen-wheeler truck?

Buck blaming himself for everything under the sun isn’t new, but it still hurts Eddie's feelings. Like, don’t talk about my best friend Buck like that. It’s personal.

Summary
Eddie is at an open house in El Paso, eating mini quiches and making awkward conversation with another prospective buyer—single mom, two kids in the school district Chris has been attending since September, pleasant and, in retrospect, kind of flirty—when the accident happens.
He doesn't know, though later that feels impossible. He should have felt the impact from eight hundred miles away.

Summary
It starts like this: Steve, waiting in his car to pick up Dustin and friends from a session of their Chutes and Ladders club or whatever. Waiting kind of impatiently, to be honest, even though it’s not like he has anywhere else to be because Robin’s busy tonight and, as he well knows by this point, saving the world doesn’t get you a girlfriend or glory or even a second age-appropriate friend, it just gets you another evening shift at Family Video and a long personal to-do list.
In the spring and summer of 1986, Steve Harrington contends with the biases of the day, hatches several plans, and finally really gets to know Eddie Munson.

Summary
A few months after Starcourt, Steve moves out of his parents' house and into a friend of a friend's empty RV. What follows is a long six months of unintentional minimalism, scraping by on two bucks an hour, and staring at the specter that haunts the other side of the trailer park. Meanwhile, Robin gets a song stuck in her head.
A season four rewrite.

Summary
Buck breathes with exacting calm, trying to imitate the deep, slow inhales of sleep. Eddie’s voice is so quiet and there’s a hint of tequila curling around Buck’s cheek and the hand on his hip has three fingers slipped below the hem of his shirt. Branding his skin. Keeping him. Please, god, keep him.

Bookmarker's Notes
The play that’s not a play, the cast of them performing like a family perfectly. Only—they are a family. He’s not watching and rewatching a VHS in his room, tapping on the glass, wondering how to get on the other side of color and love. They’re just here—they’re just his. Buck has to blame the salsa for his pink nose and eyes.

Summary
Ugh your dads suck, his friend Phoebe texts when he tells them where he’s gone for the summer. And – yeah. Yeah, they do. What are they even going to do while you’re there?
That’s a thing Chris usually doesn’t correct people about, the idea that he has Dads, Plural. It’s easier than talking about his dead mom, easier than answering people’s questions about why he only has Dad, Singular. People who have Mom, Singular don’t usually have to answer questions, but when it’s a dad, people get curious.
He doesn’t really get why, but he knows it’s easier to just let them assume things sometimes.
chris misses his dad. he misses his mom. he misses buck. he's still trying to figure out what it means that he misses them all in the same way.
