Coral hadn't imagined that after winning the 66th Hunger Games that she would continue playing them, just in a different setting. After becoming a Victor, living in peace was entitled - at least she had assumed it would be.
However, it's been nine years of surviving the Capitol instead of the arena - nine years of watching tributes die due to her mentoring. Nine years of debating whether or not fighting for her life had been worth it.
