Alberu was a busy man who was working day and night to become the successor of Crossman Corporation and to also keep that title for himself.
So, he couldn’t allow himself to do anything but work, to avert his attention, no, that was impossible.
But then, one night, out of the blue…
[“Buy me alcohol. I forgot my money.”]
…He met a certain mesmerizing stranger with unique reddish-brown eyes.
[“Sure thing, gorgeous.”]
And hell, there was no way he could resist him
[He looks hot.]
[Yeah right…Alberu trying (and failing) to keep his mind and thoughts family friendly.]
What started as anything but a simple one-night stand got more complicated the more time passed. And Alberu, well, he knew one thing for certain: Crossman Corporation was not the most important thing in his life.
(Or; a story of one stressed out, overworked workaholic and one traumatized smartass falling in love with each other, interweaving their already complicated enough lives.)

Summary
Choi Jung Soo always said that he didn’t smile a lot, and then he’d do something stupid and prove his own words wrong.
That stupid idiot would always laugh along instead of getting embarrassed, an action that, in itself, was so confusing to someone who didn’t understand how being in pain could make someone smile.
Alberu Crossman wasn’t like that, at all. He was cunning, less innocent compared to someone who’d cause himself to stumble forward and scrape his knee just to see his friend snort. He was also less stupid, to put it simply.
But then, he too, would go ahead and do something dumb. And that would make Cale snort. And then the results were the same.
A smile is precious. It was Choi Jung Soo’s last action. Perhaps it was him trying to make Cale laugh one last time.
But something precious could also become something cursed, rather easily even.
And doesn’t that hurt the most, to look at something you oh so cherished and feel nothing but absolute, earth-shattering dread overcome you?

Summary
Came up with a modern AU and used it to write smut. Chapter 1 is a bit of Cale backstory and RokCale one night stand, chapter 2 is a darker snippet from further into the story (also filthy, but in the hurt/comfort way), and chapter 3 is worldbuilding notes. If TCF secret organizations modern AU sounds like it might be fun to explore, feel free to just check out the notes in the third chapter and have fun :)
Chapter 1: Cale's had a stressful few weeks. Scratch that, a stressful whole entire life. He deserves to get drunk in Paris at least once, right? And if he meets a goddamn stunner along the way, that's just gravy.

AKA Basen and Cale are invited to the 2nd prince's 20th birthday party. Many others are invited as well, including one Venion Stan and his lackeys. They're already planning to leave early and attend their own, much more entertaining party in the guest wing when Venion spots the mouthy redhead, alone, already several glasses deep, and gets an idea.
Later, Basen and Hans go looking for him. They do not like what they find.

Cale really, really hated his life right then. Situations like these were precisely why he wanted to live a slacker life, far away from manipulative scammers like Alberu.

“We’re infiltrating a cult,” Alberu corrected, still smiling pleasantly. “I thought I’d come talk to you tonight, rather than directly asking your father tomorrow.”
Cale gets roped into Alberu's schemes and comes out with a maybe-boyfriend.

Raon flew to the couch as he did the day before but with far more anger in his chubby frame. “Weak human, you promised! You said you would sleep after breakfast but it has been an hour, thirty-one minutes and twenty three seconds!”
“I know, but I only have one-”
“No!” The dragon stomps his legs on the couch, Cale actually bounces a bit from the heavy pounding. “Weak human is stupid!”
He then crawled over Cale’s legs and physically pushed his chest to lie down, Cale went down so easily it was almost laughable how this six year old was easily manhandling his guardian.
Where Cale Henituse can't sleep and everyone has something to say about it.

"You’ve already tried that," Merlin’s voice answered and Arthur had to bite his fist to keep from making any noise. “You need to accept you can’t kill me… Hand me that blanket, please.”
“I’m sure there must be some method… Beheading?”
“No, we tried that.”
“Hanging?”
“I just sort of... Swung there, remember?”
There was another pause.
“I should have made you keep that dragon below the castle so I could feed you to it.”
“Kilgharrah? He won’t eat me, but if you want to torture me than making me listen to his nonsense for an hour might do it.” Merlin said and there was a soft sigh from the other end of the room. “I’m glad you agreed to help me though. Usually I have to do the grunt work of saving Arthur myself.”
“I can’t wait to kill you.”
