Summary
He can’t place it, exactly what it was about Josh that’s captured him the way that he has. Some natural magnetism that goes beyond his mere appearance and silken words, like an inconceivable energy tethered to him that’s caught Tyler in its broad sweep. A gravitational force befitting of a red giant, and Tyler—naive, estranged Tyler—hardly even a moon.

Summary
“That’s always been your problem,” Clancy continues, no longer hiding, but facing him head-on, golden eyes as piercing as ever, “you think you can save everybody. And you think it’s your obligation to.”
Torch presses his lips in a firm line—something faintly reminiscent of a sad smile—and shakes his head once. “Only to you.”

Summary
Tyler says, “People just like attractive people.”
Josh sputters, and then barks out a stunned laugh. His face burns. “What?”
“People like attractive people,” Tyler repeats, slower and carrying an intonation like it’s a simple, irrefutable fact of life. “Ever heard of pretty privilege? That’s what that is.”
“You think I’m pretty, Tyler?” Josh coos, angling his leg to the side to playfully jab at Tyler’s knee. -

Summary
It never should have happened in the first place. Josh has been repeating this simple fact like a mantra for weeks. Even more so after every time they gravitate back toward one another, impromptu sessions in which their professions and responsibilities and duties are shed, temporarily sacrificed for the addictive taste of heated, sweaty skin and the give of flesh under clawing, clutching fingertips.

Summary
Tyler becomes impossible to ignore. He speaks the way he used to, and his hair truly seems to grow off of his scalp as the months drag along like they’re steeped in honey. He makes his soft-spoken, stern appearances in public, with people, at home, in the dead of night and when the sun’s reaching its highest point. Seemingly arbitrarily, whenever he deems it necessary.
Torch isn’t sure whether the thought of being haunted by Tyler for the rest of his life sounds divine or terrifying./or/
clancy doesn't survive the events of their fight against the bishops. maybe he was never meant to. torch has to haul the burden of living on with a ghost attached to his shadow.

Summary
Flying back to Cherry Street, weaving reckless in the dark, it comes down to this: Dick is the only one of his siblings that Jason has any real claim on. Dick is the only one of that whole mess of victims to Batman's cult of self-immolation who belongs to Jason. Even more than that - Dick is the only person in the world who he shares a parent with, who knows what it meant to be the Robin to Batman of nearly ten years ago.
It's just not the same anymore.
So if Dick fucking kicks it, Jason's the only one left. Jason becomes an only child. Jason becomes the last of his kind. Jason becomes the sole keeper of that memory, of a brotherhood shared under a man who no longer exists. There is no way to replace Dick, because the world that they lived in together is gone, and can never give Jason a surrogate.
The Red Hood pulls the thread on a mystery big enough to bridge the distance between two cities, two brothers: The plot they unravel is far deeper and darker than a garden-variety drug trafficking scheme. A story about siblingship, hauntings, and rivers.
1. Ostium, osti(i): Latin noun, II Declension: Door, opening; (river) mouth; entrance (to the underworld).
