Summary
The newly restored Warrior of Light comes out of retirement only to be immediately laid low by the Ascian Fandaniel. Jacinthe and Hezzwyb carry on in Lauden's absence; The Gunbreaker recovers and the three Warriors of Light are briefly united, only for Jacinthe to be brought down by an unexpected death. Lauden and Hezzwyb soldier on, saving the star and returning home victorious. Lauden foregoes the victory celebrations, opting to spend her time with the recovering Jacinthe. The Warriors of Light mourn their loss, and ponder how it could be that they are both shards of Azem.

Don't Call It the Sharlayan Academy for Erotic Enquiry is a collection of body- and identity-focused stories set in Old Sharlayan, Labyrinthos, and the warren of offices and laboratories in between. She can't bring herself to complete her transition - not while the phials she's come across can be used to help others.
In an effort to help Lauden fulfill her emotional needs, Y'shtola learns how to use the Aetheric State Player. She trains the Warrior of Light on the device and provides her with a recording of something she's desired for most of her life - what it feels like to be pregnant. Exploring Lauden's state recording leads Y'shtola to appeal to Cheria Haredottir to help the struggling Machinist become a Gunbreaker - a task she undertakes in the Cieldalaes, with a little help from Trisha Reese.

Many are some combination of the three. There's a whole lot of "paying it forward" here, in various shapes and sizes. Sometimes it's easy. Sometimes it's difficult. Sometimes it's simple, sometimes it gets complicated. Two things are for certain: Fantasia makes its way to those in need of it, and Nymeia has a terrible sense of humor.
