Summary
Roy is blissfully happy, and hardly even freaked out by it anymore. He’s never had a sure-fire sense about somebody, but the two of them are on fucking fire together, that’s for sure.
Which is why, for the very first time, Roy is challenging himself not to run away.
Even though for some reason, Jamie wants to tell his fucking mum, and all his worst instincts are kicking in.

Summary
Three years after his retirement from playing, former Chelsea star Roy Kent is set to return to his boyhood club for the 20th anniversary of the opening of Sunderland’s Academy of Light. The ceremony will conclude with the unveiling of a new training pitch named in Kent’s honour, a testament to his enduring impact on the club.
In 1991, a nine-year-old Kent relocated from London to Sunderland to enrol in training at the Charlie Hurley Centre, then home to the club’s youth academy. Despite interest from other clubs, Kent chose Sunderland on the same day he received their offer. When asked about his decision, the young player simply said, "My grandad loves Sunderland, so I do too."
On a road trip to Sunderland, a few detours shine a light on memories buried and words unsaid, revealing a greater task within their journey.

Summary
"Keeley walked in on me one time when I was doing the kitchen windows, and I was wearing my tidying-up clothes," Jamie said. "She just assumed it was a sex thing - didn't Coach Lasso used to say a thing about assuming? And arses? Anyhow she liked it so I never said nothing to her."
"Fuck," Roy said, sympathetically.
"And when I told Dr. Sharon about it later she said that I didn't want to tell Keeley I did me own cleaning cause I didn't want her to think I was soft. And I reckon that was right. Mum would say I had a case of TikTok masculinity or something, probably"
"TikTok what? - oh, right. Like toxic. Toxic masculinity, yeah. So you don't want to - "
"Not unless you do."

Summary
Roy shakes his head. What an arsehole, he thinks. Jamie fucking Tartt, the prick kissed by God. Roy prides himself on not being a repressed dickhead, but Jesus's fucking cock, he's been having all kinds of nasty thoughts about that twatty fuck. He can't even make sense of them.
