    “What the hell is going on, man?” Kirishima approaches Katsuki with concern.
    Katsuki blurts out: “Got hit by a quirk. Kid clung to me on the street, asked for a picture, I felt some weird shit like a shiver, but I wanted Izuku to see that I can be nice to little kids too, so I sucked it up and didn’t mention anything. But now I keep blurting out everything I think without a filter.”

     

    Alternatively: Katsuki gets accidentally hit by a truth-serum quirk right before a mission with Izuku, Kirishima, and Jirou. As if verbalizing every single thought in his head is not enough trouble, there’s also this: he’s in love with Izuku, and won’t be able to keep hiding it for long.

    “What- I- You-???” Katsuki pointed at Izuku accusingly, still shocked. “The fuck do you mean I reek of werewolf?! I smell totally normal, asshole!” Katsuki burst forward.
    “Yeah, maybe to a human. You should’ve known I can smell you, it’s not like our kinds are friends. It’s, like, an evolutionary thing.” Izuku cocked an eyebrow.
    “The fuck do you mean ‘kinds’? You’re a human too, stupid.” Katsuki burst back accusingly, even though he was beginning to be extremely doubtful of that statement.
    “Wait, you didn’t know?”
    “Know what?!!!” Katsuki hollered, confusion pooling in his guts.
    “...I’m a vampire.” "

     

    Or: Werewolf!Katsuki and Vampire!Izuku are forced to share a dorm at university. What will happen when fated foes become closer than anyone had ever predicted? (Drama. Drama is what happens.)

    “Honestly Deku, I really couldn’t care less that you have a girlfriend.”

    Silence fell upon the room as Izuku gave him a look he couldn’t quite decipher. “...What are you trying to say?” Izuku finally questioned after several moments, carefully.

    Shit.

    Katsuki has been pining for years after Izuku. He's softened up a bit, bankrolled a hero suit for the nerd, and gives lectures at UA whenever Izuku requests it. So when what he thought was a dream they shared doesn't pan out like he'd planned, life goes in a direction Katsuki never would've expected.

    A story told over five acts which leans heavily into the pain of three characters, with Katsuki's anguish being the focal-point. The happy ending and eventual comfort to the hurt exists for everyone, no matter how bleak things may seem at times, but this story will be gut-wrenching to read most of the chapters. If you aren't at least a bit of a masochist, this fic is probably not for you. You have been warned.

    Oh, and the title of the fic is in part inspired by the song Scorpio Rising by Soccer Mommy, and also in part by, well, astrology.
