Summary
Mark Vogel is like the older brother Stefan Riley never had, until one day he disappears, and Stefan has to adapt to life without him. But, one year later, when he runs into a girl who looks near-identical to Mark, Stefan becomes obsessed. He discovers that other boys have disappeared, too, dozens over the years, most of them students of the Royal College of Saint Almsworth, many of them troubled or unruly before their disappearance.
What is happening to these boys? Who are the handful of women on campus who bear a striking resemblance to some of those who went missing? And what is the connection to the mysterious Dorley Hall?
Stefan works hard to get into the Royal College for one reason and one reason only: to find out exactly what happened to the women who live at Dorley Hall, and to get it to happen to him, too.

Summary
Jayce and Viktor vanish from the roof of the Hexgate and reappear thirty years later completely unchanged: Jayce still bruised and broken, Viktor still behind the Machine Herald's mask.
Meanwhile, the twin cities of Piltover and Zaun have continued on without them. Science and magic meet in startling ways, the dead rise, and foreign political powers threaten to undermine the work done to recover from the battle three decades prior. Veteran champions struggle to protect the city's foundations while young, upstart rebels fight to determine its future. The waters are rising, the forests are evolving, and the peoples of Runeterra are finding new ways to make old mistakes.
And, in the middle of it all, Jayce and Viktor figure out how to be.

The average observer may take this as evidence that IPS-N's noted reputation for pragmatism and efficiency has once again reared its surprisingly well-proportioned head.

"You look like hell," are the first words out of Trafalgar's mouth, of course. There is a strange comfort in the familiarity, in Trafalgar's bluntness.
"Injury does that," Hawkins murmurs, agreeing.
Trafalgar visibly thinks about something, frowning, and chooses not to say it.
"If your medic let you walk about, I suppose it's not serious," Trafalgar concludes, incorrectly. His assumption sends a twist of pain in Hawkins' chest that has nothing to do with the injury.
"He is hard-pressed to stop me," Hawkins says. "Seeing as he is dead."
"Oh." Almost contrite silence, for once. Trafalgar had very little in the way of manners, but it seemed he did know what they were. His voice didn't quite soften, but it was less cocky than it had been until now. "Are you docked here?"
(Hawkins needs a doctor, and a surgeon of death is still a surgeon. Also, they really need to talk about this whatever it is they have.)

“It’s, eh-” Viktor shrugs. Tilts his chin this way and that. A tsk. “Bearable. I’ve endured worse hangovers in college.” he was going for a laugh, but the punchline never truly lands. Instead, Jayce’s thumb rubs softly into the back of his palm, pressing like he wants to idle the muscle mass into something new. It’s such a small thing, whatever this is, and yet it steadies the flow of his blood; the relief of loosening a valve, flicking off a pressure switch. It’s the necessary cracking-open of his breast. Jayce squeezes. Viktor allows himself the luxury of a sigh. “You shouldn’t be here.” he mutters.
Jayce reflexively shakes his head. “I took the day off.”
“We both know that’s-”
“—I could take the week.” he insists, almost a threat, a flicker of that eternal stubbornness coursing through him.

The war has not gone well for anyone. The Alliance has three months left before collapse. The Horde is not much better off. With neither victory or death as options, Sylvanas proposes an alternative. A treaty, to ease tensions and open borders, with a political hostage to ensure that both sides stay in line. A marriage with many political implications and Sylvanas would only accept one person. Jaina Proudmoore.
And Jaina Proudmoore made for the perfect hostage. If the Alliance moves wrong, Jaina dies. The Horde attacks, and Jaina reduces Orgrimmar to a wisp of a memory in the minds of children.
Of course, no one expected Sylvanas and Jaina to be anything more than uneasy partners with each other, least of all Sylvanas and Jaina...
