There are a lot of plausible explanations for what happens next. Maybe it’s because they’re already goofing around, maybe it’s because Kara broke her step stool last week and she can fly so she hasn’t needed to replace it, or maybe it’s because she just really likes touching Lena lately, but instead of, well, anything else, Kara’s first impulse is to grab Lena just below her waist and lift her up so she can reach the tea.
It’s the soft, ever so slightly breathless “oh” from Lena as Kara hoists her up that knocks whatever autopilot is engaged in Kara’s brain offline, and her first conscious thought is that Lena’s thighs are soft.

So why does Hermione feel worse? Is she going mad? She's hearing voices, and she feels more and more that her body is not her own. She suspects others know more than they are sharing, and she doesn't know who to trust.

Lena has been spending a worrying amount of time at the office. At the insistence of her doctor and her CFO, Lena finally caves and gets a house by the shore to spend some weekends away from work.
The home is a modest Cape-style house, with salt-worn shingles and a seashell driveway. It’s also just a few miles from a DEO blackout site. While Lena tries to get used to being idle, she watches an energetic neighbor move in just down the lane. Maybe it won’t be so bad here after all. The beachside view is nice, and this neighbor looks like she could be good company.
