When his father’s arrest results in him and Azula moving to be with their uncle in Ba Sing Se, though, the local high school has already started casting for the spring production of Cinderella--and the star role of Prince Charming is taken. But Cinderella herself remains un-cast.

He finds Zuko every time.
A gust of violent wind rattles them. Dry snow, like dust and stars, swirls in an eddy around Sokka’s head.
“Sokka!” The wind swallows most of Aang’s voice. He must be shouting, but it sounds more like a whisper
Sokka pushes his hands in front of him, as if he could somehow drive away the storm of spirits.
He can’t, of course.
The light floods across his world and crashes over him and drags him down, down to the bottom of a place that he can only think of as the ocean. But it’s not; it can’t be.

The smile Tendou gave him made him feel like he’d started speaking in English or had grown a second left arm.
"You’re something else!" Tendou laughed. His whole mouth was open again, letting Wakatoshi see straight down his throat. "You tried to describe me and you decided to say that I have perfect hair and a perfect face and I look like I stepped out of an ad!"
"Yes. Because it’s true," Wakatoshi said, and that shut Tendou right up.

(A realisation that has absolutely nothing to do with Ambassador Sokka - shut up, Suki.) Katara and Aang have broken up again, and the Northern Water Tribe are pushing for a match between the North and South.
Which leads Zuko and Katara to develop a genius, foolproof, only slightly drunken plan: they can pretend to date for the length of Katara’s stay in the palace, giving them both a brief reprieve from political pressures on their love lives.

Right after Boiling Rock, Zuko found Sokka sprawled in his tent with a bouquet of red roses, and a ring of romantic candles, and one final rose set between his teeth. With the littlest twinge of envy, Zuko realized the entire display was for Suki.
The point is Sokka's flirting is about as subtle as a buffalo yak. To miss it, you’d have to be a complete and utter airhead.
