Buck's past comes back when he is on the outs with the 118, and it triggers his PTSD.
Post LawsuitOr,
Buck was sent to camp green lake when he was fifteen, which is a sort of juvie camp, they have to dig a hole in the desert, 5 feet wide, 5 feet deep daily to build character and learn their lesson, and get treated poorly. But Buck was sent for a crime he never committed.

Summary
Eddie answers on the third ring. “Buck?” His voice is rough with sleep, low and gravelly. “Do you know what time it is?”
Buck tries to lift his phone to his mouth, but the motion of his shoulder curling forward shifts his wing again, the tip of one brushing against the sheets. They’re huge. Bigger than he can process. He still can’t make himself look.
The only thing that escapes him is a soft, pained whimper.
Eddie suddenly seems a lot less tired. His voice sharpens instantly. “What’s going on? Are you hurt?”
Another whine tears from Buck as the pain flares, muscles along the top of the wings tensing, fluttering behind him. He can see their span now, crowding the edges of his vision—and somehow, it feels like they’re still growing.
“E-Eddie,” he chokes out. “I-I don’t know. There’s so much blood.”
OR Buck wakes up with wings tearing themselves out of him. Eddie soothes the pain.

“Are you and Dad fighting again?”
Buck blinks at the question, their happy hangout shifting the moment Eddie leaves the room. “Um, what? No, we’re not fighting. What made you think that?”

Summary
"You are mine, and I don't fucking share.” Eddie's gaze pierces through him, his words carving a familiar path in his soul, touching that deep part of him that yearns to belong to someone, to be claimed.
“Am I?” Buck pushes, because he feels he has to if he's going to get his point across.
“Yes.” Eddie pushes against him further.
“Then do something about it.” Buck smirks.

Summary
Buck has his uniform shirt pulled on, but the material is stretched tight, giving away every dip and rise in Buck’s chest and stomach, clinging to his body in a way that makes Eddie think it’s wet and suctioned to his skin. It’s shrunk, probably in the wash, and there’s even a devastating strip of skin visible between the bottom of his shirt and the top of his pants.
“That’s too small,” Eddie says, a little stupidly.
“Yeah, noticed that, thanks,” Buck says with a laugh.

Summary
Buck's plan for the evening is simple: eat calzones with Eddie, pretend he's not in love with his best friend, and absolutely never think about one desperate night he hooked up with Tommy in Eddie's house, and the conversation they had the morning after in Eddie's kitchen while Eddie was in El Paso.
Then Eddie mentions a missed call. And a voicemail. And a text from Tommy asking if Eddie thinks he's "competition."
Before Buck can spiral, Eddie holds out his hand for Buck's phone, finds Tommy's still-blocked number, and calls him back himself. What follows is ten minutes of calm, surgical destruction: Eddie dismantling Tommy's ego, burning every bridge, and saying things like "You call that competition? You were never in the fucking race," and "I left him behind and he was still fucking mine."
Buck's pressed against the corner of the kitchen, half-hard and fully in shock, because they aren't even dating.
Yet.

Summary
Exhausting.
Buck is exhausting.
But he’s known that, hasn’t he? Spoken in hushed tones in teacher conferences and conversations when he was supposed to be asleep.
Buck always tried to be less excitable, less loud, less much, less him. But no matter how much he pushes himself into a small corner of his mind to make others see him with something other than distaste, so he can be seen at all, nothing seems to keep his muchness at bay.
But then he joined the 118.

Summary
"Okay," Eddie says, shaking his head like he's throwing off the laughter. "Touch my ass."
"What?"
"The only way for us to face this is to jump in. So, touch my ass."
Buck untangles his arms from around Eddie. "I think the mood's gone."
"Oh, c'mon," Eddie whines. "I promise I won't laugh."
"I don't want to do it anymore."
That earns him a raised eyebrow. "You don't want to touch my ass?"
"Eddie—"
"Just touch my ass."
"Stop saying ass."
"Ass, ass, ass, ass, ass—"
Side effects may include laughter during sex, moody teens, competitive streaks a mile wide, and the ability to (somewhat) effectively communicate.
or...Finally together, Buck and Eddie navigate their developing relationship. Eddie’s laughter at the thought of sex and Chris’s passive aggressive mixed signals don’t help a spiraling Buck’s mourning of an imagined loss of friendship. Meanwhile, Eddie comes to terms with his identity and it means for him. Featuring too much information shared during wine nights, zoo trips with a gaggle of kids, and an exhausted Ravi.

“I called you ‘baby’,” Eddie said.
“Did you?” Buck said, his voice coming out higher than he had expected.
“Buck,” Eddie said, exasperated.
“Look, it doesn’t mean anything, I know,” Buck said. “It was an accident.”
Eddie’s eyes widened. “But what if it does mean something?”
Buck frowned. “Eddie, you’re straight.”
“I know,” Eddie said.

Summary
In the firehouse gym, Eddie is in a perpetual, terrible, devastating state of horniness.
Which, really, it’s not the ideal place to be this horny. It’s fucking… perverted is what it is. His coworkers are usually puttering around or people are talking about their nastiest puke-filled medical calls. Not to mention how the siren could go off any second while he’s sporting a semi in his basketball shorts.
It’s all Buck’s fault. His boyfriend is two-hundred and fifty pounds of sheer muscle on his smaller days, and it’s cutting season right now, so he’ll be putting on more of that delicious weight and muscle soon when bulking season – Eddie’s favorite time of the year besides his son’s birthday – inevitably rolls back around. His arms, legs, belly, neck, and thighs are toned to perfection with a few layers of fat to cover them up, and Eddie counts every exact second until he can sink his teeth into all of that beautiful, pale, freckled skin.
or, buck might be (key word: might) oblivious, and eddie almost drops a 100-pound weight on his pinky toe watching his boyfriend do pull-ups. they work it out with a few pairs of fuzzy, cheetah-print handcuffs.
