“Did I,” Wilbur says again, and Tommy clenches his jaw, and fireworks rattle inside his chest. His eyes sting, and a raging river roars past his ears, so he gives up and throws his hands up.
"Yes. Okay? Yes. Are you happy? Yes, you fucking— you hurt my feelings," he explodes, feeling shame eat away at his insides. “Yes, I was butthurt, and yes, I was jealous. And then I got over it. And I’m fine. So I don’t even know why we’re having this conversation."

Tommy sat up too, looking at everything from down here. Everyone was laughing. Was smiling. He didn't know why the view filled a hole in his stomach. He didn't know why he bit his cheek. He didn't know why he was so miserable.
"Everything alright?" Ranboo asked, because of course he does.
"I don't know." Tommy admitted, his voice raspy, low and… quiet, and expression unchanging.
Ranboo hummed. "Thats fine too.. if you um, don't know. Do you maybe… I dont know, wanna- wanna talk about it?"
Tommy could feel him staring as he waited for Tommy to answer, but Ranboo didn't push. Only waiting patiently.
"My brain… it does this, um. This stupid thing." Tommy gripped his jeans, and looked down at the ground.
Ranboo didn't interrupt, giving him room to talk. Room to breathe.
