      “You don’t want to take me seriously? Fine. How about the two of you have matching hands then?” Oh, that’s not good. The man pulls a knife from the sheith in his leg, stalking across the concrete floor toward him. Stephen starts to struggle, but the suppressor cuffs are strong metal, not rope like what Tony has around his wrists, and he just needs a couple more seconds .

      “Hey now, is that really necessary-”

      “Leave him alone! Do you really think-”

      “-after all, don’t you need me to build something? I heard-”

      “-the Avengers will let you go if you hurt him? He’s-”

      “-something about a new weapon, why sabotage your chances-”

      “-one of their most important members, and Tony never bows to pain, it won’t-”

      “SHUT UP,” the man screams, throwing the knife at Stephen.

      It lands with a thick thump in his shoulder.

      There is a cry of pain.

      And with a screech of fury, Tony escapes his ties and lunges at his captor just as the Avengers come bursting into the warehouse.

      “...so was your plan to strangle him or…”

      “You would be surprised at how much damage can be done using your teeth, once I nearly bit a guy’s finger off. Also, he had like two other knives on him. Just because I’m better with guns doesn’t mean I don’t know how to stab things.”

      Steve nods thoughtfully. “You think I could break someone’s arm by biting them?”

      “Maybe. We should test your bite strength at some point,” Tony starts playing with Stephen’s hair, trying to distract him from the pain of Bruce stitching his wound.

      “Neither I nor Stephen have any dental knowledge, so if you break your teeth, you’re on your own,” Bruce mutters as he ties off the stitch. “And done. No more excitement for the week please, I do not appreciate being team doctor again. If you guys would just go to medical…”
