“Shouta, please tell me that’s not another cat.”
Shouta looked up at Hizashi from his spot behind his desk. His husband stood in the doorway, dressed in a pair of blue pajama pants and a bright green ‘Put Your Hands Up Radio’ t-shirt. Shouta looked between Hizashi and the cat, before clearing his throat.
“That’s not another cat.” Shouta said unconvincingly, kicking out a leg in an attempt to block Hizashi view of the animal. His attempt was futile, as the cat then proceeded to let out a meow of an impressive volume for its size. Any thoughts Hizashi was having about convincing Shouta to not keep the cat automatically dissipated, and he ran forward, scooping up the feline in his arms.

Jun-ho stands in the doorway, and his brother’s face flickers through a hundred different expressions—- fear, anger, hope, guilt— before landing on one that In-ho can’t decipher.
The silence is a chasm between them, one neither is willing to cross. After what feels like an hour, Jun-ho steps forward, through the doorway.

There’s a man he doesn’t recognise in his brother’s apartment. The man hasn’t noticed Jun-ho yet— or, if he has, he’s done an incredible job of pretending otherwise— too busy attempting (and failing) to open a bag of chips. Jun-ho clears his throat, drawing the attention of the other man, who turns to face him.
He’s a handsome man. His hair is neat and he’s dressed in a formal suit, and if Jun-ho was into men, this guy would probably be his exact type. But Jun-ho is not into men. Even if they smile at him and look really pretty.
“Do you need help with that?” Jun-ho asks, instead of saying something stupid like “Why are you in my brother’s apartment?” or “Will you marry me?”

“Can it wait?” Will doesn’t move from his spot by his desk, where he’s currently explaining a case that’d been projected onto the screen, “You know I’m available any time I’m not teaching, right?”
“And we both know you’re not going to hang around long enough for me to talk to you,” Jack frowns, and Will can’t exactly argue back against that. Jack approaches Will’s desk, dropping a torn envelope on the dark wood.
