You stare at the toes of her light yellow tennis shoes. She’s so relaxed; she has all the time in the world - fourty-five more minutes to be precise. You scrape the nail of your index finger along your thumb, drawing out the tough, slightly oily, elastic texture.
“Are we really not going to talk about it? The whole,” you make two claws with your hands, miming magic powers, “Henry Creel thing. Hawkins Lab.”
She tilts her head, eyes round and sympathetic. “Do you want to talk about it?”

- It was no hidden secret that Will Byers was weak. He was a body of frail, short bones, that ached against pale skin, which contrasted greatly against dark brown hair. His eyes were a soft, delicate hazel– unquestionably ill-fitted for the brutality of Eragos. It was for all of the reasons listed that the young boy should have died the perilous night of King Vecna’s plot to deploy him, alone and helpless, in the forest with a stray demogorgon.
- Instead, Will Byers emerged with a dragon.
Or: Stranger Things retold in the storyline of Eragos– a foreign planet much like Narnia, with social structures like that of a typical dark fantasy.

They'd given their lives to save the others, but it hadn't been enough. Max was in a coma, and Hawkins had been ripped in four by the glowing rifts that cut through the earth. They'd had to leave them behind, so certain that their bodies had been rotting in the Upside Down for days.
“It’s another nightmare.” Robin whispered to herself as she stared at the figures looming before her.
Nancy and Eddie stared back, their clothes caked in blood and their eyes glowing red.

Will return in the fallThen a third, and up till now completely unthinkable, thing occurred. The portal behind Gale yawned open once more. Underneath the dissonant crackling of the portal’s magic, Gale could hear the distinct sound of a voice yelling and cursing in a foreign language. And before the wizard could register what in all nine hells was happening, a young woman was spat out of the portal like a wad of Chessentan chewing tobacco. She crashed into Gale’s chest, exactly like he had crashed into her the day before. Unlike Gale though, Brix did not immediately brush herself off and greet him with a practiced smile.
Instead, she resumed her cursing. At least, that’s what Gale assumed it was. He couldn’t glean any singular word from her outburst, except one terribly rude four-letter word, which was now sprinkled liberally into every other sentence.
“You!” she finally shouted and pointed an accusatory finger at Gale. “What the fuck did you do?!”

Halsin has every reason to hate Drow. From his time in the Underdark to Minthara’s “hospitality” at the goblin camp, they’ve brought him nothing but pain. So imagine his surprise—and confusion—when his savior from said camp is none other than a Drow. He tries to be civil, he really does. After all, she’s not quite like the others. She’s not sadistic, conniving, or bloodthirsty like those he’s known. Logically, he knows she had nothing to do with what happened to him all those years ago—but trust is harder to build than resentment.
Vyssira is nothing if not a survivor. She survived Menzoberranzan. She survived her parents’ cruelty. She survived Baldur’s Gate. And when everything was taken from her again and again, she survived that too. Now, with a mind flayer tadpole in her skull and a ticking clock toward ceremorphosis, she has no choice but to rely on others who share her fate—and a druid who wants nothing to do with her. Maybe, this time, survival could mean healing too.
AKA the super self-indulgent enemies to lovers character study about Halsin and his feelings towards drow, because I don't see it getting explored as much as it should. Be the change you want to see in the world, kids.

Steve provides a sure nod, stepping closer to point to random parts of the sheet. “Erica… She helped me, I’ll admit.” He gives a sheepish grin, one Eddie has seen more and more over the years.
He doesn’t know what to think. Steve has never shown any interest in DND, and he knows nothing about it. Now that he does, though, apparently, Eddie is overjoyed. He stays there at Eddie’s for hours, explaining every detail of his character and why he included it. Obviously, Steve would have high combat. It just makes sense for him to use his nail bat, so of course, he had to include that somewhere. He’s a noble, duh, he’s King Steve.
Eddie thinks this is the happiest he’s ever been.
Or, Steve makes a DND character to try and flirt with Eddie. Fluff ensues.
