Lin e Tenzin se casaram e tiveram duas filhas: Gauri e Tashi. Ambas são dominadoras de terra como a mãe, Lin. Porém, por esse motivo e sob pressão do Lótus Branco para que Tenzin tivesse dominadores de ar, quando Tashi completou dois anos, Tenzin e Lin se separaram. Quatro meses após a separação, Tenzin casou-se com uma acólita do ar chamada Pema, que era 15 anos mais nova que Lin. Nove meses após o casamento de Pema e Tenzin, nasceu Jinora, a primeira filha de Tenzin com Pema e a primeira dominadora de ar em anos, desde Aang e Tenzin. Obviamente, o relacionamento de Tenzin com Lin e suas filhas Gauri e Tashi se deteriorou, pois as três nunca o perdoaram pela escolha que ele fez. Já Tenzin também nunca se perdoou por ter cedido ao Lótus Branco; ele deveria ter sido forte, deveria ter lutado mais por Lin e pela família que os dois construíram juntos, mas foi fraco. E agora ele tem que arcar com ás consequências de suas escolhas.
