Three months since the Upside Down started bleeding into Hawkins. Three months since Will and Mike confessed their feelings for each other and got together.

Summary
Will pressed deeper into the crevices of the random twisted tree, its roots nothing like anything in the Upside Down. The purple hues have a stark contrast to the dark nothingness of the Upside Down. Mike was shielding Will from the unknown that lurked just beyond their spot under the weeping branches.
"It can't get through?" Mike's breath hitches as he places his arms in front of Will who was just as out of breath as he was.
"I-I guess not." Will was as dumbfounded as he was. A sort of invisible force field protruding from the purple racemes of the tree surround them, keeping whatever was chasing them out and them safe within.
Mike looked back at Will's face, his eyes widening, "Your nose. It's bleeding again. Are you-" He blanches, his voice comes down to almost a whisper. "Are you doing this? Did you make this tree appear?"
___Or Will and Mike get trapped in the Upside Down for a while and Will discovers he has powers, but using his powers weakens him greatly. Not only do they discover Will's powers and what he can do with them, but also are forced to come to terms with how they feel about one another. Knowing they both can't call what they have as merely "friendship".

You’d think with how long the war has been going on he’d have prepared himself better. But, alas, he’s never been one to plan ahead, and even if he was, this type of situation has always seemed impossible so he probably wouldn’t have thought about it anyway.
Life always has its way of sneaking up on you at your most vulnerable and then beating you to a pulp (figuratively and in some instances literally) until you can’t fucking see straight. This is definitely one of those instances. He doesn’t think any words can describe the feeling of being perfectly content one moment, and the next feeling the family magic mourn as he instinctively knows his brother just died.

Steve Harrington wasn’t always a Harrington, He was a Potter. He moves to Hawkins, Indiana in an attempt to shield his nephew from the burdens that come with being heralded the Boy-Who-Lived.
