Summary
Everyone reacts horribly to Gortash's revelation about the Dark Urge. To a resisting Dark Urge, especially as there's no conversation about it just a series of awful one-off comments, that's a real punch in the gut. So I decided to write how I felt my character would have reacted to that and then resolve it.
As the tags say, that involves a suicide attempt. The actual actions of the attempt have really only been written around, but they are heavily implied in the aftermath.If you believe I should add a tag, please tell me - honestly I'm awful at tagging.

Astarion’s breath shook, cold against Lokeil’s neck. The scent of his perfume made Lokeil’s mouth water. Notes of bergamot and rosemary that should have been a balm against the anxiety that toiled in him, but only made the thing inside him hungrier. Lokeil wound a hand through Astarion’s hair, scraping his claws gently on his scalp as he pulled him closer.
For a moment, just a second, his hand tightened.
He’d make a pretty corpse. Body stiff, eyes cloudy, white curls dyed crimson with blood.

“Yeah well one just saved my life and made a joke about New York’s rat problems.”
Silence over the radio.Or, New York City isn't prepared for a ghostly invasion. The Avengers are finally all in the same place again. Thor and Bruce are back from space with a semi-reformed chaos god and a thousand refugees in tow. Steve and the Rogues have got their pardons and are ready to start being heroes again. But Tony isn't ready trust, neither is his new protegee Spiderman. The fractured team can't seem to come together. It's a good thing then that Danny Phantom is ready to save the day. That doesn't mean anyone is prepared for when he keeps showing up.

Summary

But before she can come up with a plan, a mysterious train picks her up and she finds a glowing number 120 on her hand. Plus, every train car has its own world and inhabitants...and she thinks it's the best thing ever. Why would she want to leave when all that’s waiting for her at home are a mother that hates her for being autistic, bullies who want to make her life miserable, and being constantly told she’s not normal? She befriends a talking hamster, Vic, and Blanca, a sentient, shapeshifting marshmallow. They decide to embark on a journey to see what the train has to offer, with Mary intent on reinventing herself and realizing she isn’t just some bothersome girl...but Mary is completely unaware of just how concerned her family and friends are when they see her note.
