Three miles down. No sun, no cell service, and no hope of survival against the abyss if something goes wrong. When everything goes wrong every time Izuku travels away from UA. How is he supposed to think about anything else?

Summary
Had you told Shouta one week ago that he would be hunting down the number one hero for murder, he would have laughed in your face. Well, not laughed, since he hates people knowing what his real laugh sounds like. Maybe scoffed derisively, then slid back into his sleeping bag and passed out in preparation for another mind-numbing night of patrol. All Might – voted number one blond ten years running – would sooner cut his own arm off than willingly hurt a person. Literally anyone picked off the street could tell you this in total confidence – even Endeavor, voted number one All Might hater ten years running.
And yet, here Shouta stands, in an abandoned building that reeks of mildew and mold, across from the former Symbol of Peace, who still wears his garish costume, stained with days-old blood.

Summary
Midoriya Izuku knows teachers are all the same. He had wanted so, so badly for Sensei to be different. He had always admired Eraserhead as a pro hero, and then Sensei had saved his life. And, yes, he was strict, but so much nicer than any teacher before.
But he was still a teacher. And Izuku was still a quirkless, useless freak who didn’t deserve any of this. Not for free, at least.
He thought he’d never have to go back. But he would, for his dream.

Aizawa Shouta knows something's wrong with his problem child. Recklessness, lack of trust, and all the broken bones from a quirk the kid couldn't control. None of it made sense. And what finally tipped Aizawa over the edge was the most recent test results. His number one problem child kept missing questions Aizawa knows he should be getting correct. It was about time the underground hero got some answers from his student.

Summary
When Momo speaks up at the end of the Quirk Assessment Test, Aizawa is quick to rebuke her naivete. When Izuku sees her reaction, he knows that nobody else in the class has dealt with a teacher quite as unfair as Aizawa.
He resolves to protect and prepare them for dealing with a teacher who will take any opportunity to beat them down.
Shota is very pleased with his newest class. Finally, a class that is independent and taking heroics seriously. They don’t come begging for handholding or complaining about things being too hard, and they’re advancing faster than any other he’s taught.
But a class that learns that they can’t rely on adults for one thing won’t rely on them for others.

Toshinori cares. Once, he was lonely, content to be alone. A lot in life he'd earned by his own poor decision making. And then there was a bright young man with fire in his eyes and kindness in his words to fill the empty space in his heart that had been left yawning and hollow by years of loss. That young man hasn't left, but generous and accommodating as he is, he's perfectly content to share his place. (Toshinori cares so easily, after all. It doesn't take much.)
Or; Izuku is everything, to him. That doesn't mean he has less room for others in his life.
