Summary
If you had asked anybody who had known either Will or James for at least three seconds, they would have told you with a straight face that the two of them were a mated pair and likely always had been.
The only problem with that was that they weren’t, definitely not, far from it in fact. No, Will and James were friends, just friends and that was all.
And that was fine in Will’s mind. Completely fine.-

“It’s not an owl,” Will said cheerfully, adjusting his headlamp. “Mothman is a misunderstood cryptid icon. And we are here to respectfully summon him.”
Ieuan, filming B-roll just behind them, muttered, “Respectfully summon a six-foot moth demon. Totally normal sentence.”

It wasn’t ‘someone’ Will needed, it was James.
He’d pushed everything down, but every time their lips touched, every time their bodies moved together in perfect rhythm, Will couldn’t deny what he’d known for too long. He thought James felt the same.
