Summary
Buck has always liked feeling needed—maybe more than he should. That pull toward people in pain, the way it fills something hollow inside him to be the one who helps. It’s what drives him on the job, in his relationships. He needs to be able to fix it when things are broken.
And holding his nephew—this tiny, warm, helpless life—it’s the purest version of that feeling.
Or, Buck is up at 1 a.m. with his newborn nephew in his arms and imagines what his and Eddie's life could look like if this were theirs for real.Fluff with Buck, Eddie, and the Han children :)

Summary
For the last few months, Eddie would come into their bedroom and see Buck, tucked in with his bedside lamp on, waiting for him.
The bed is colder now, stripped of Buck’s things, stripped of Buck himself.
No faint indentation in the mattress, already warmed by Buck’s weight, by the time Eddie finally climbs in.
No brush of arms and legs as Eddie snuggles under the covers and Buck scoots over to make room. Now it’s just Eddie’s bed again. Vacant. Barren.
Or, Buck has moved out, and Eddie can only see everywhere he's missing
Or or, the touch-starved Eddie fic

Summary
The corner of Buck’s mouth twitches upward devilishly—too slow, too deliberate. Eddie’s stomach dips.
“Don’t you dare—” he starts, but it’s too late.
Buck flicks the hose up, the shower bursting to life, and the spray hits Eddie square in the chest.
Or, Buck asks Eddie to help him plant a garden at his new house. It devolves into a water fight with the garden hose. They're just so soft and silly.

Summary
“This is unbearable,” Eddie mutters. Then he peels his tank over his head in one smooth motion and tosses it aside. Relief flashes across his face as he closes his eyes and sighs. He resettles his own damp towel on his neck and relaxes against the couch once more.
Buck’s mouth hangs open.
Eddie’s skin is glistening, damp, and flushed. Water from the cloth drips down over his collarbones, rolls in lazy trails down his chest, and across the divots of his abs. Buck wants—God, he wants to touch, to let his fingertips trace the trails of water left on his skin, to lick the droplets as they run across his body.
Or, Buck and Eddie's air conditioning is broken and they try to beat the heat.

Summary
“You have to show me.” He slides his hands around Eddie’s waist, fingers pressing in almost to bracket him against the sofa. Buck can be handsy on a normal day, but tonight, under the influence of wine and their home full of shared comfort, Buck sticks to Eddie like glue.
“Show you?” Eddie asks, amused but hesitant, like he’s testing if Buck really means it.
“Yes,” Buck insists. “You can’t tell me you’re a dancer and then not dance with me.”
Or, a wine-drunk Buck learns that Eddie knows how to ballroom dance. Eddie teaches him a few moves.

Summary
Years before joining the 118, Buck’s travels take him to El Paso, where he meets Christopher. When Eddie comes back from Afghanistan and Shannon leaves, Buck ends up staying. As bills pile up, the best move is for them to get married, just for convenience, they’ll divorce when Eddie comes back from his re-enlistment.
Then Eddie gets injured and it’s just easier to stay married for a little longer, while Buck gets started at the 118. However, Buck doesn’t mention his ‘husband’ and kid, not feeling like they’re his to keep. When Eddie gets the offer from Bobby, they decide to lie and pretend they don’t know each other, so they can work together.
The whole lie gets out of hand as feelings start to become real, until it all comes to a head in the aftermath of the fire engine explosion.
AKA: Secret marriage of convenience buddie slow burn AU, where Buck and Eddie have been married for years so Buck could adopt Chris and no one at the 118 knows.
